Old Memories...

I sat in the bar, drinking the only thing that really helps with my problems.

Beer.

I sighed, and looked at my phone. I had four new messages. I opened them and saw that two of them were from Maya, one from my ex, and another from an unknown number.

I pulled up the unknown number and read the message.

Meet me outside the bar in exactly 23 minutes.

I looked at my watch, it was 11:38. Only a few minutes away. I got up and dropped some bills on the counter. I took my bottle with me and walked out in the cool winter air.

Looking around, I noticed someone leaning up against my truck. He seemed to be smoking, and looking at his phone.

"Hey, dude. Why the hell are leaning all up on my truck?"

He looked up, and smiled a bit.

"I was waiting for you, love."

I cringed, he may have a British accent but that 'love' stuff is weird to me. He removed his beanie, and I recognized who he was.

"Arthur, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in London with Alfred?"

He scratched the back of his head and looked cheekily back at me.

"Well, Alfred got busy, so... we kinda didn't go."

I looked at him with a sarcastic look of surprise on my face.

"Alfred, my ex, busy? What a surprise!"

Arthur rolled his eyes.

"Oi, are you even supposed to be drinking that? Aren't you a bit young?"

I rolled my eyes.

"No but I do it anyway. It helps."

He sighed and grabbed my hand, pulling me to the passenger side door of my truck, and opened the door.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

"I'm not letting you drive under the influence, where you can get killed, or worse, arrested."

"I'm fine, and didn't you say that backwards?"

"No, now get in the truck, love."

I sighed and complied with his request, getting in and buckling up. He went to the other side and sat in the drivers seat, doing the same and turning the ignition.

"Alright, I'm taking you to my house, are you okay with that?"

I nodded my head. "I don't know if Mya will be though."
