My Days In A Dream

New Life

After literally the BEST ramen in history, I realize that I don't have a place to stay.

"Hey, Naru? You wouldn't mind if I crash at your place, would you?" I ask him.

He freezes in place, and I stop and look back at him, His foot still in the air.

"Naru?"

I don't get a reply.

"Naruto?" I ask again.

He turns to look at me. I flinch at the sight of tears in his eyes. I never was good with making others cry. I mentally punch myself.

"Like a sleep over?!" He shouts in my face while gripping my shoulders.

"Uhm... Yes?" I answer, unsure.

He starts anime crying. And then hugs me. I don't know what to do, so I just pat his back and hope for him to stop.

After a lot of crying, we managed to start walking, and we finally made it to his apartment.

As soon as I step inside, my sensitive nose is completely destroyed.

I am currently rolling around on the littered floor, holding my nose, trying to rid myself of the burning sensation.

"... Tohru? Are you okay?"

"No.." I groan, calming down.

I get up and start looking through his closet, finding a clothes pin and a mop. I pick up all of the empty ramen cups and put them in a garbage bag. I sweep, mop, then spray the air.

I remove the clothes pin from my nose and take a deep breath, then look to Naru. He has a sweatdrop on his head as he looks at me and the now sparkling room.

"Sorry, I have a sensitive nose..." I tell him.

"O-okay.."

Well, I'm tired. So I flop onto the ground and roll around before finding a good position and falling asleep.

Someone is trying to wake me up.

I try to wave them away, but they are persistent.

"Fine..." I groan and roll into a sitting position, opening my eyes.

Naruto is there with an evil look in his blue eyes.

"A prank?" I guess out loud.

He nods and holds up a bucket of paint, then points to the hokage mountain. Episode 1.

I smirk and nod.

"NARUTO!!" Iruka starts shouting. He's got Naruto tied up. But I'm not... Why..?

"Tomorrow is the shinobi academy's graduation exam and you've failed it the last two times!! This isn't the time to be causing trouble!! IDIOT!"

"whatever..." Naru says, turning away. Iruka gets irked and turns to the class, "Time for a transformation jutsu test!! Everyone line up!! Transform PERFECTLY into me!!"

"what?!" the class shouts.

... What? ... I don't know any of the signs... Oh well.

As we are in line, I watch the others closely as they perform the jutsu.

I look away when Naruto does his 'sexy jutsu'.

When it's my turn, I do the same as I'd seen the others do.

There's a poof and I'm as tall as Iruka.

"Good... next..." He says, writing on his clipboard.

So I did it..? Yay!! First jutsu down and it's only my second day!!

I sit down by Naruto and we talk.

About ramen, duh.

Naruto is cleaning the hokage faces, and I'm holding the rope, just like this morning. Fishing for Narutos~! Heheh.

"like i care, it's not like I have anyone to go home to."

This snaps me out of my fantasies (about Gaara...).

"What do you mean-- oh, wait, just kidding. But that's only because I'm already here." I state.

Naruto and Iruka both look at me.

"What? Did I say something wrong?"

"Hey... Why don't I take you both out for ramen when you're done..?" Iruka asks.

"Now that's some serious motivation!" Naruto and I shout at the same time.

Ahh~! I am satisfied~! Ichiraku's has the best ramen~!!

"Tohru?"

"Yeah, Naruto?"

"Do you mean what you said back there?"

"Of course! Though it's only been two days, I feel like we're family. So, I should probably tell you, I am a girl."

"Haha, very funny." He laughs.

"No, I'm serious. You can call me nesan!"

"What!?" He looks shocked.

"Yeah. Let's get home~!" I say as I walk to his apartment, fall on the floor, roll around, and fall asleep.

(Next day)

Today is graduation day. For the first time ever doing the clone jutsu, I'd say I did pretty good.

I still failed though.

I think I got a lower score than Naruto...

I walk out to meet him at the swing he's normally at.

He'd already started walking away, so I follow him. Mizuki meets up with him and they go to the roof of a building.

I spaced out throughout the whole conversation (thinking about Gaara), until Naruto left.

I follow him to the hokage's home, then to the forest, where I decide to reveal myself.

"Hey, Naru."

"Tohru!"

"What cha doin?"

"Mizuki-sensei said if I can master the jutsu in this scroll, I can pass! Believe it!"

"Really? Can I join you?"

"Huh? Why?"

I look away, embarrassed. "I failed it..."

"Oh, well, okay then."

I sit down by him and he opens the scroll.
