Within the Draco Lusus Equester Dracomancers of all kinds are present, from the combat-enabled to the support level abilities and everything in between and beyond. Diversity is a healthy thing for this tournament, but with diversity in this tournament may prove fatal for many Dracomancers who aren't ready for such a combat-heavy environment, may it be by element or ability differentiation. While majority Dracomancers may have a single element many have acquired a second, or even a third element. Others may even have bizarre elements and very few possess mythical elements that are uncommon to the world itself. The following are the four different tiers of Dracomancers, such four tiers categorize all Dracomancers accordingly to their abilities.
Tier X - Assiduus: This Tier possesses Dracomancers whose abilities overall do not pertain to close-mid-long range combat. Essentially these are support-level Dracomancers who cannot participate within the main tournament where combat is heavily focused on. Instead, these Dracomancers take a test monitored by the main seven council of dragons that coordinate the Draco Lusus Equester that involves obstacles and puzzles
Tier 4 - Pugnator: This Tier possesses Dracomancers with single elements who of are ordinary combat abilities. Essentially, these are the common Dracomancers who make up 80% of the Tournament, excluding the Draco Novitius. Dracomancers of this tier have average combat abilities, but have not shown to perform augmentations such as free manipulation of their element and partial transformations. Dracomancers at this tier CANNOT perform Draco Aerternitate
Tier 3 - Custos: This Tier possesses Dracomancers who have fully mastered and honed their combat specialties, and are thus considered "mature" Dracomancers, ability-wise. The Draco Novitius belong to this tier as well, as well as multi-elemental Dracomancers. True Dracomancers at his stage are able to fully manipulate their respective elements (multi-elemental Dracomancers can only freely manipulate their first element). Excluding Draco Novitius, Dracomancers at this stage still cannot perform Draco Aerternitate but partial transformation is attained
Tier 2 - Imperator: This Tier possesses Dracomancers who have attained Draco Aerternitate, and have reached the height of their abilities. Multi-elemental Dracomancers can now freely manipulate all elements they possess as well. Stronger Draco Novitius are placed in here as well if they're strong enough. The new addition to this tier includes elements that aren't a part of the main eight elements, such as Disease, Blood, Metal, Rust, Acid, etc.
Tier 1 - Rex: This Tier possesses Dracomancers who possess mythical elements that are extremely rare. As such only 3% of the Tournament participants fall in this category. Such elements include Death, Gravity, Holy, Time, and even Void. Dracomancers of this rank carry Tier 2 efficiency in their abilities, their own elements giving them a massive upperhand over the lower ranks. As with such rarity in ability they attain a name change during the tournament, to ensure others know of said rank: their last names are dropped and replaced with "Rex". Winners of the Draco Lusus Equester usually hail from this tier
