BEEP, BEEP, BEEP
I groan as my phone goes off. "Jeez, I'm coming. Gosh, I'm sad. Talking to my alarm," I told myself.

I walked over to my dresser where I had my phone charging and hit the off button on the alarm. Then, for once, I actually put on my glasses. "Good morning! You excited for school?" Brendon asked when I came downstairs.

"No. What if they don't like me?" I said.

"Then don't take it. Tune them out, turn on music, something," he said.

I nodded. He handed me a bowl of cereal. I muttered thanks and wolfed it down. After my yummy breakfast, I went back upstairs to pick out an outfit. I ended up going with my black Pentatonix shirt and my white high-waist shorts.

~Twenty Minutes Later~

I was done getting ready and was sitting in the living room when Brendon came out. "Hey, I have an emergency meeting at the studio, so Alex is gonna come take you to school," he said.

I nodded. "Uh, Brendon, can I ask you a question?" I asked.

"Sure, what's up kid," he said, taking a seat next to me.

"How can you tell if you like someone?" I asked.

"Ah, well, I guess you feel like you can share anything with that person, and you feel like you have to be perfect. Is this about Alex?" he asked.

"Maybe. Shouldn't you be somewhere?" I asked trying to drop the conversation.

"Yeah. See you today after school," he said, rushing out the door.

I said bye. In about a minute or so, Alex knocked on the door. When I answered the door, he was standing there on his phone texting someone named Darla. "So, Darla can't wait until we get to school?" I asked sarcastically.

"Shut up, are you ready?" he asked.

I nodded. "Let's go."

It took us about ten minutes to get to school. When we got there, I didn't have any problems finding my locker or homeroom. I was in the same homeroom as Alex, and our lockers were right next to one another. So awesomely lucky and cliché. "Alex, do you know where the closest bathroom is by chance?" I asked.

"Yeah, down the hall, girls is on the right," he said.

I said thanks and hurried toward it. I had been wearing a hat and now I had really bad hat hair. When I got done fixing my hair, I went back over toward my locker. "So Alex, how was your weekend," said a bleach-blonde Barbie doll girl when I got back to my locker.

"It was pretty cool. I reconnected with one of my old friends from Ohio, huh Chloe?" he asked.

"If you torturing me every day counts as friends, sure, but we're cool now," I said from by my locker.

"Oh, right, cool. How long have you guys known each other," the girl, I'm guessing Darla asked, looking disgusted to be this close to me.

"Now that I think about it, we don't really know each other. Thanks Darla. Come on Chloe," Alex said, pulling me somewhere.

"Alex, what are you doing? Your girlfriend doesn't look to happy..." I said, trailing off.

"She is NOT my girlfriend," he said, rolling his eyes.

"She sure as hell acts like it," I mumbled.

"Look, she is and never will be my girlfriend. I like someone else. Look, school is about to start, we should get to homeroom," he said.

I nodded. "Well, who DO you like?" I asked, "I mean, I obviously don't know them, so you can just tell me."

Just then, the bell rang. He got lucky. "Wow, school started already? We should get to homeroom, no time to talk," he said nervously.
