"Baylee, what the hell are you doing here? Please tell me your mom knows where you are," I said, seriously worried she had ran away.

"Yeah, she knows. I called Brendon this morning, and he flew me to McCarran. Then he sent someone to come pick me up."

"Hey, at least you're here. And, the day before break? Seriously girl?"

"Well, it's one less week I'm missing. I mean, we'll be gone for a while."

"We? Wait, you're here for the rest of tour?"

"Yup! You have a new bunk buddy!"

"Uh, we can try. But, my bunk is kinda small..."

"Aw, we can make it work."

"Ok. So, did you give anyone at school my number?"

"No, I would never do that. But somehow Darla got into Alex's phone, so I have no idea..."

"Ok, thanks for telling me."

"No problem. Oh, and Mrs. Marsch gave me a copy of our new piece for you. It's called Last Ride of the Pony Express. I brought it for you."

"Oh, ok. Did you bring your flute?"

"Yeah, you?"

"Yeah. We can practice later."

"Ok, cool. Um, the boys are almost done. About ten more minutes. We can probably go sit in the dressing room."

"Sounds good. Hey, is there wifi here?"

"Yeah, the password's in the dressing room. Um, where's your stuff?"

"Sitting outside the tour bus. No one knew the code."

"Ugh, ok. We really need to write that down somewhere. Anyway, when the boys get done we can go put those away. I think there's still an empty drawer and some space in the closet."

"Ok, thanks. OMG, I'm so happy to be here! Alex is, like, sooooo jealous."

"Oh, I bet. Is he being a little bitch about it?"

"I wouldn't go that far, but almost."

"I wish he was here, but his mom being, and I'm sorry to say it, the bitch she is..."

"I know, I got your back about that. She is kinda a bitch. I wish he was here too."

"Yeah."

We both flopped down on the couch. "So, how's tour going so far?"

"Good. I'm glad I get to do covers. It's really fun. I can't wait for tomorrow's cover."

"What are you gonna cover?"

"Don't know yet."

"You should cover something by Fall Out Boy. Or Twenty Øne Piløts."

"Not TØP. I wanna do that in Ohio."

"You have a loooong way to go until Ohio. And they have more than one song."

"True, true. Ok, you pick. The Mighty Fall by Fall Out Boy, with you doing Big Sean's part, or Message Man by Twenty Øne Piløts."

"Well, obviously I'm gonna pick The Mighty Fall. I mean, if I get to perform."

"Ok, I thought so. I'll talk to Brendon."

"Talk to me about what?" Brendon asked as he walked into the dressing room, followed by Kenny, Dallon, and Dan, the drummer.

I wasn't really close with Dan like I was with the rest of the band. He hated being in small spaces, especially with other people, so he had his own bus. I never really talked to him. He usually went straight back to his bus when he was done. "Uh, tomorrow's cover. I might need Baylee's help, that ok?"

"Uh, sure. What are you covering?"

"The Mighty Fall by Fall Out Boy," I said with a smile.

"Oh, so she's gonna do Big Sean's part," Dan said.

"Uh, yeah," I said.

"Ok, well, I'm gonna go start memorizing. I'll see you guys tomorrow," he said, and we all waved as he walked out toward the busses.

"So, yeah, that's ok. I'll just have Pete send me the music. I trust him better than any website we would find with the music," Brendon said.

"Oh, I forgot you knew Pete. Right," I said.

"Yeah, anyway, I'll do that in a second. First, boys, you know what to do."

I looked at Brendon funny, and he just winked at me and ushered for me to come over there. I slowly got up and walked over to him. "What's going on?" I asked.

"You'll see," he said.

That's when I realized that Kenny and Dallon had disappeared. "Brendon, what the hell?" I whispered.

"Just shut the fuck up and watch," he whispered back.

"Ok, jeez. I'm just worried for my BFF's safety."

"We're not gonna hurt her," he said, turning to Baylee, "Ok, we have a surprise for you. Close your eyes."

She went along with it. That's when I saw Kenny and Dallon walk out of the dressing room bathroom, each with a bucket of water. I stuck my hand in one of the buckets. Ice cold. Oh shit, Baylee was gonna kill me. But it was gonna be funny. The boys slowly walked toward her. "Ok B, hold out your hands," I said.

She did that. OMG, this was gonna be good. "Ok, here we go..." Brendon said.

Splash! Kenny and Dallon both threw the ice cold water in my BFF's direction. She slowly opened her eyes, realizing what had just happened. "Chloe... I'm gonna kill you!" she shouted, lunging out of the couch at me.

I muttered an "oh shit" and started running toward the back door, the one that led out to the bus. I had quite a lead, since I had been on the track and field team last year. I quickly put the code for the door in and opened it. Before I could close it again, Baylee ran up to it and held it open. "What did I do? I didn't even know you were coming! I didn't plan this with them!" I yelled, trying to save myself.

"Suuuure you didn't," she said.

"I'm not joking. I literally had no idea what was going on until Kenny and Dallon walked out of the bathroom."

"You could've stopped them then!"

"It went by too fast!"

"Too bad! Now I'm fucking soaking wet and freezing, because it's the middle of November at night in Vegas!"

"Baylee, calm the fuck down. Seriously."

"Yes, please. I hate dealing with moody teens," Brendon said as he walked up behind her.

"Fine. But here, Brendon, you get a hug," Baylee said, and she gave him a big hug, just to get him wet too.

"Yeah, thanks. Now, please, get your stuff inside. We have to leave," he said.

She nodded and grabbed her stuff, bringing it inside to unpack. Then we planned to wreak havoc tonight. Just because we could.
