Observed by Egon

"Egon!!" My mom yelled as the group rushed into the base.

Egon peeked around the corner. "I'm a little busy with an experiment right now, is this important?"

"Catherine's hurt!"

"What happened? Egon asked concerned.

"Mr. Genius over  here hit her with his proton beam." Garret explained.

"Awe come on guys, it was an accident. How was I suppose to know that she'd jump in front of the beam?" Eduardo replied.

"It was kind of obvious Eduardo. You saw what she did to me when I hit the Grundel with my beam." Roland replied.

"Not to mention, she knocked me out of my chair to stop my beam from hitting him. What did you expect her to do? Sit by and let us fry the Grundel?" Garret asked sarcastically.

"Enough this!  Bickering amongst ourselves won't solve anything. We can figure out who's to blame later. Right now I need to get her into my lab to try and determine the extent of her injuries." Egon replied.

"Will she be alright Egon?" My mom asked fighting back tears. If it was one thing my mom hates, it was crying. It made her feal weak.

"Honestly? I don't know Kylie, I just don't know. Nothing like this has happened before." Egon replied with a sigh.

Several hours later, Egon emerged from his lab "what's the verdict Egon will she be alright?"

"She's gone through some physical changes that I can't explain but yes she will be alright." Egon replied.

"What kind of physical changes?" My mom asked worriedly.

"It's kind of hard to explain...." Egon replied not sure how best to explain.

"What kind of physical changes Egon?" My mom demanded irritatedly.

Egon cleared his throat "perhaps it might be easier to show you, rather then to try to explain." He replied. As he lead the group to his lab, my mom began to worry.

My mom's mind raced with questions she wasn't sure she wanted to know the answers too. How was Jack doing since his out burst? Had Egon discovered the reason for his odd behavior? If so, what was the cause and would it be a permanent issue? What kind of changes had I gone through after being hit with the proton beam? Would I be ok? Would these changes be permanent? Upon reaching the lab, Egon adjusted his glasses before stating "I warn you what you are about to witness is one of the strangest things we have ever encountered. It's like something out of a television show. Oh, what's it called? You know, the one Catherine loves to watch???"

"Danny Phantom?" Eduardo replied.

"Yeah that's the one. It's as if the fictional aspects of that story have come true. Due to being hit with the proton beam, Catherine has become well,... See for yourself." Egon replied opening the door to his lab.

"Ummm, Egon, Catherine looks just fine. What changes were you talking about exactly?" Eduardo replied with a smile.

Before Egon could reply My mom hit him in the chest. "Shut up Eduardo!"

"Humm, interesting, very interesting in deed." Egon replied.

Sitting up in bed I stretched my arms and yawned "ummm. Whewa am me? What happened?"
