Over the course, of the next few weeks more and more children started disappearing from their rooms in the middle of the night.
I anxiously awaited the return of the ghost to my window, but it seemed like forever before he returned. In fact, I didn't see him again until I had a sleep over at my friend Marie's house.

"Come out and play Marie. Come out and play." Came a very familiar voice that night. I turned towards the window and frowned. Marie became as white as a sheet.

"You!" I growled and the ghosts smile widened.

Upon seeing the creature at the window smile
widen, Marie began to tremble and I could tell that she was about to scream. I quickly covered her mouth and hushed her. If she screamed, he'd disappear, and I would never get a chance to talk to the creature.

"Shhh. Let me deal with this." I told her.

"But. But.." Marie's started to reply.

"Marie please, don't scream. I'll make it go away, just go back to sleep." I begged her and reluctantly she nodded.

"Where have you been? Don't you know I've been looking for you?" I demanded of the Grundle who smiled in reply.

"Have you? Why might that be?" The Grundle asked with a slight chuckle.

"I have some questions that only you can answer." I replied my frown deepening.

"Oh and what is that?" The Grundel asked in a amused voice.

"You took Tina and the other children didn't you?"

"Only because I couldn't have you." The Grundle replied with an evil smile.

"What did you do to her?"

"Why ask a question you already know the answer too? Why not ask me what you really want to know? The night is quickly fading and as much as I'd love to stay and chat, I do have other places to be." The Grundle replied.

"You are a Grundle aren't you?"

"There is only one Grundle. I'm sure your mother has already told you, I couldn't possibly be him. After all, they busted him years ago didn't they?" The Grundle asked with a with a frown.

"Yes but..."

"But what child?" The Grundle said with a smile.

"You have to be the Grundle. You told me that is what your name is the night we first met. According to Papa Egon, no other creature does what the Grundel does.

"True." The Grundle replied with a smile.

"Then you admit that you are the Grundle?"

"I didn't say that. I really should be going now. As I said, the night is fading fast and I do have other places to be. It was nice chatting with you again." The Grundle replied with a smile.

"Fine don't admit to being the Grundle, I don't care, but answer me this, if you are the Grundle
how did you escape the containment unit?"

"Now that is the question isn't it?" The Grundel replied with a chuckle as he turned to leave.

"Wait! One last question, why don't you come to visit me anymore? Have I done something wrong?"
