Loosing (Mai x Male!Reader)

Wind is the face didn't bother (y/n). In fact he didn't feel it that much. He was wearing a helmet, why? Well he was on a motorcycle with his girlfriend. She wanted to take a joy ride around the town. It'll pass time and it's fun. Though (y/n) felt very anxious about this. It was totally out of the blue for his girl to take him out riding. Maybe she actually wanted to take a joyride.

Maybe she's been holding something back. Mai has been very stressed lately. Although she can talk about it anytime. (y/n) never understood why she kept everything back. Annoying at times yes, but she didn't have to carry that on her back. Mai is as stressed as she is. Why hold things back from her boyfriend.

Mai then sped up the motorcycle, lovely. This is getting worrying, she never goes this fast. Clearly there must be very stressful on her mind. Other than that they continued to drive and drive. Until Mai finally came to a stop. She hopped off the bike and placed her helmet on the handles.

(y/n) mimicked her moves, he then trailed behind his stressed lover. Mai just gave him a deep sigh as she heard his footsteps. (y/n) wrapped his arms around her waist and stared into the ocean. Mai felt the breeze brush against her skin. So did (y/n), though Mai just seemed too majestic at the moment.

"I need to tell you something." She finally spoke.

(y/n) moved himself next to her and said, "What do you need to tell me?"

"I'm going to a duel in America. I was invited to participate in a conversation."

"Oh! Congrats Mai, I'm happy for." He smiled then kissed her forehead.

Mai then sighed, "But that's not the point."

"Then what is?" He asked.

"It's a childish thing to say but, I can't participate." She sighed once more

"May I ask why?"

"I lost my deck, and I can't make a new one. We- I meant I are flying out tomorrow."

"Your deck? I have it!" He smiled and got out it.

"Why?!" She took it away and held it close to her.

"I borrowed it. Also why did you say 'we'?"

She smiled, "It's a couple duel."

His face lit up, "That's so cool! I can't wait to go with you!"
