I woke up to an empty house with a note on the fridge saying that Brandon went home and Ryan would be back around 9. I look at the clock. It's 8 now. So I have the house to myself for an hour. I make a small breakfast of eggs and a blueberry muffin from the bakery down the street. "LGB-tea" a LGBT+ safe bakery, run by a lesbian woman and her girlfriend. They make the BEST blueberry muffins in Seattle. I sit on the couch and eat my breakfast trying to decide what to do with the hour I'm alone. After I finish my breakfast I go back into my room, and get my apron that my sister got me for my last birthday. It's black and says "the Bible says Adam and Eve. So I did both" I use it nearly everytime I bake. I also grab my phone, my speaker, And charging cord. I change into a Heather gray t shirt and burgundy cable knit leggings. I tie the apron around my neck and head downstairs. I turn on my speaker and connect it to my phone via, Bluetooth. I turn on my casual playlist and smile as I hear the opening to "carry on my wayward son" I pull out the ingredients to make brownies. I throw the ingredients into the bowl and mix it, glancing at the directions on my phone every now and then. Once it's fully mixed, I pour it into a pan and push it into the oven. I close the oven and move back to the fridge, leaning in to look for ingredients. While the brownies are cooking I make a bowl of jello, making room in the fridge for that, then a blueberry smoothie with vanilla ice cream, by the time I'm done with that I pull out the brownies and set the pan next to the stove to cook. Just for one final thing, make a plate of nachos, and watch a fate show. I take a smoothie and my nachos out and sit on the couch, turning on the TV. I moment I raise the glass to my lips, the door bangs open. I jerk my glass away, nearly spilling it on myself in the process. I look up and see Ryan holding a cardboard box with holes cut in it. I raise an eyebrow at his grinning face. He's jumping with excitement. "Ryan, what do you have? Actually, never mind I know what it is, my question is, why?" He just keeps smiling at me. I sigh and lift the lid. Inside is a baby husky. My eyes widen at the sight. I reach in, pulling up the smiling puppy. I look at Ryan, his eyes gleaming. "Name?" I ask, not bothering to ask where he got it. "Percy" I smile at him. I look into the puppies eyes and see why his name's Percy. He has bright sea green eyes. "We should show Kai and Kaia!" I say excited. I don't have Kaia's number so I dial Kai's number and he picks up on the second ring. Before he can say a word I start "my apartment. Now." I hang up picking Percy back up off the ground. I hear the door open and I run over expecting Kai. Instead I see Brandon lugging a dog bed, a small bag of toys and a large tub of food. I peer at him with a small smile on my face. Just then Kaia burst in the door, worry in her eyes. "I got you call, what's wrong?" She said fast. I frown. " I called Kai" I say in a questioning tone. She freezes. "I picked up his phone and thought it was an emergency" she chided. "oh" I said, then, suddenly remembering why she's there, I hold up Percy. Her eyes widen fast. She reaches for him, I gladly hand him over with a smile on my face. "Name?" She says, using the same tone I used earlier. "Percy" I say, "look at the yes" I finish. She looks at his eyes. "perfect" she says. I look at her, "hey by the way, I was gonna go swimming tomorrow, do you wanna come?" She smiled, hesitantly, "sure" I smiled, "great, ten good?" She smiled, nodding her head in affirmation at me.
