The moon shone brightly in the dark night sky, big and bright, like it always is. I took a step forward on the roof of the house, gripping my staff tightly beside me.
“I haven’t been up here in a long time… and you’re probably wondering why I’m here now,” I said, looking up at him. “The thing is, Rapunzel and I, we’re just not-” I said, stumbling on my own words as I continue to blurt out my thoughts.
“S-she’s different. And I’m worried, I don’t know what to do. She doesn’t act like she used to, there’s something wrong! But she wouldn’t tell me, she says “everything’s fine” but I don’t believe her. She’s not fine!”
I sighed, looking down at the roof before looking back up at the moon. “I just-I need to know how to fix this. I love her, so much, and I just want to fix this. Please, just please, I need to know how.”
I let out another sigh. The moon never told me anything, so why would he start now? This was hopeless from the start!
A light sound then came from under the roof, I jumped off of it and landed on the tree branch beside the house. I could see the room through the window, and the person inside it! Her long blond hair sliding across the floorboards as she moved around the room. Her big green eyes glistened even in the dark room. Rapunzel.
I jumped off from the branch onto the windowsill. My hand reached for the window, pushing it slowly open and making a creaking sound as I did. The blond immediately turned her attention towards my direction, her eyes wide in panic but softened when she saw that it’s me.
“Jack,” she sighed out of relief. “It’s just you…”
I landed on the floor and made my way towards her, not caring to shut the window. “Yea, it’s just me... What are you doing, Punzie?”
She then looked up, her gaze meeting with mine. “Jack,” she breathed. “We need to talk.”
