The Gifts

Chapter Two

Sean POV:

"Three tickets to see the Scream 2," I said. I pulled out my wallet and handed her the money.

"Here you go," the movie cashier said suspiciously. "Why are all of your hoods up?" She asked.

"We're cold natured," Clay responded a little too quickly. We walked away quickly to avoid more questions. Sadly we missed the popcorn. The thing was, we weren't cold. We were all dressed in complete black and a huge baggy jacket. We kept our hoods up so we didn't get noticed. The only thing that tells us apart is the sprigs of Kate's curly brown hair sticking out.

We have to stay covered thanks to dad's rules. We almost got caught by the SHBIP because they noticed our faces, so since the we were just big, black shadows to the rest of the world. We were still thankful though. We had to beg dad to let us go out for our birthday. He was such a setback sometimes.

We handed the man our tickets and walked to theater two. We always sat in the very front, close to the fire exit. We were about halfway through the movie when we heard the loudest sound. Clay and I's stomach. We didn't get a chance to buy our popcorn.

"Kate, come with us to get some popcorn," Clay said. We always did things together so we were never separated.

"Go without me. This is a really good part," she protested.

"But Kate.." I argued.

"When was the last an attack happened. I'll be ok. It's just popcorn. You'll be back soon," she replied.

"We're just trying to protect our little sis," I said

"I've been training! Now go get your popcorn alone or starve!" She demanded. We nodded and left but she added, "get me skittles!"

"Fine we'll get you your rainbow pebbles," we said smirking. We then left theater 2 and immediately broke dads rule. Never separate. That was when our slip up happened.
