"Hurry up, Chara!" Frisk called to her sister. "I'm trying, Frisk, but these stupid tree roots keep getting in my way." Chara said as she trailed behind Frisk. Chara swung her foot up, ripping the roots out of the ground. "Stupid tree..." She mumbled. When she caught up with Frisk, she saw that Frisk had stopped. "What's wrong?" Chara asked her sister who was kneeling down looking at something. Frisk pointed to a medium sized hole in the ground.
"Just step over it." Chara said as she took a big step over the hole. Frisk nodded and took a step over it, but her foot slipped and she fell in. "Frisk!" Chara screamed as she jumped in after her sister. "Chara!" Frisk yelled out to her sister.
After a while of falling, both girls landed in a small bed of buttercups. "Where are we?" Frisk asked as she rubbed her head. "I have no idea, Frisk..." Chara said as she looked around the dark purple room they were in. "Here, follow me." Chara said as she held Frisk by the hand. "Okay." Frisk replied as her and Chara left the room. They entered another room, which was darker than the one before.
"I don't like this..." Frisk said as she squeezed her sister's hand. "Don't be scared. All we have to do is walk across, that's it." Chara said as she started walking towards a small grass patch, when a small buttercup popped out of the patch.
"Howdy!"
"AHHH!" Both girls screamed.
"What's wrong?"
"What do mean 'what's wrong'?! A talking flower, which happens to be you, popped out of the ground, and scared the living day lights out of us!" Chara yelled.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to startle you."
"What... Are you?" Frisk asked as she was hiding behind Chara,
"Well if your friend here would let me finish- I mean... I'm Flowey the flower."
"What do you want with us?" Chara asked.
"Why, I was just trying to help you! Did you two not just fall down here?"
"Yes..." Chara said quietly.
"And I'm going to teach you a few things! Like how we monsters like to share LOVE."
"Love? What in the name of-"
"Chara, it's scaring me." Frisk said, interrupting Chara.
"Don't worry, Frisk. I got it." Chara said with a tiny smirk. She approached the flower and raised her foot. "W-Wait! What are you doing?" Flowey asked, sounding very terrified. "You're scaring my sister, so I'm going to change that." Chara said as she continued to slowly lower her foot. "Wait! Don't kill it!" Frisk said as she stopped Chara. "Why not?" Chara asked, sounding a bit frustrated.
"Because, killing is wrong." Frisk said as she shook her head. "Frisk, I can never understand you. One minute you're scared, and now you want to leave it be?" Chara said with a smile. Chara then turned to Flowey. "Don't think I'll be letting you go this easy." She growled. Chara held Frisk by the hand and left the room.
"You know, Chara, I think we can- Hey, what's that over there?" Frisk said as she pointed to a figure standing in the distance. Chara let go of Frisk's hand and told her to stay put while she went to go see what was there. "Be careful..." Frisk whispered. When Chara got to the corner, she saw someone standing there, smiling at her.
"Who are you?" Chara asked coldly. "Why, I am Toriel. I came here to see if anything has happened, and turns out it has. You're the first human to fall down here in a while." The lady said. "Oh really? Well, I also came here with my sister." Chara said as she pointed to Frisk, who waved at Toriel, and Toriel waved back. "Why don't you two come with me?" Toriel suggested. "Why should we? We just encountered a stupid flower and I'm pretty sure he was up to no good. How do we know you won't try to hurt us?" Chara questioned.
