Author’s POV
Heir didn’t go to school for three days. She did her very best not to see Luhan or anyone. It’s enough. The truth already slapped her hard on her face. She can’t take it anymore if someone will make her realize how stupid she is and everything all over again.
Her phone suddenly rang. She looked at the caller id and saw her father’s name on it. She wiped her tears away and composed herself before pressing the answer button.
“Appa…” she mumbled.
“Heir, baby. Gwaechanha?” her father asked.
“Ne, appa.” She answered. She misses her appa so much.
“How are you there?” he asked. “I wanna see you badly.” She can sense sadness on his appa’s voice.
She’s living in Korea on her own. She requested this to her father, to live independently. She doesn’t want to always depend on her father. She doesn’t spend the money her father gives her every month. She’s working on a little restaurant as a waitress and does little things in exchange of money just like delivering newspaper and milk in the morning before going to school.
“Appa…. C-can I ask you a favor?” she asked, holding her breath.
“Of course! Anything for my daughter.” Her father said, not hesitating.
Her father is one of the best businessmen in the world. They own many companies. Her stepbrother is helping her appa running them all. Her mother died after giving birth to her. That’s why her father loves her so much.
She gathered all her strength to speak.
“Appa, I want to go back. I want to be with you again.” She said. As she closed her eyes, another tear escaped.
“Of course! You don’t know how happy I am to hear that from you, Heir!” she can feel how happy her father is right now. It’s not only once, twice or thrice that her father pleased her to go back.
Everyone in school knows that she’s just a simple girl. They don’t know that her father is one of the richest in Korea. All they know is that she is living alone and she’s an orphan. She doesn’t want them to know where she really is from. That’s the reason why she doesn’t have any friends. She doesn’t want to be taken for granted like what happened to his stepbrother when his friends knew that he’s the son of Richard Park. She wants to live a simple and ordinary life. The life she thought she’ll share with Luhan forever.
Luhan doesn’t know a thing about her real identity. She was afraid that he might leave her after knowing that she’s keeping a secret from him and not trusting him. The only reason she’s staying here is Luhan. And now, there’s no more reason.
“Appa, I want to leave as soon as possible. I want to leave tomorrow.” She said. Her father is so powerful that he can leave a certain country any moment he wants so she knows that she can leave th country even tonight.
She knows that this is not the best solution but she cannot think right. All she wants to escape from all the pain. How coward, she thought.
“Heir, I know something’s not right there.” Her father’s voice became serious. How strong father instincts are.
“Just…. Just please appa. I want to go back.” She sobbed, letting the pain go out. She heard her father sigh.
