The crescent pale moon shone through her window aiming directly at the girl's small face. Unlike other people, who would wake up startled, she would lie there, staring at the blank ceiling above her, her mind drifting into darkness. You would think that she was a normal girl with ordinary dreams but in reality, every night she would have some sort of  dream...or you could say nightmare. This peculiar night, her nightmare was particularly different. Tears formed around her eyes, and the tears turned into waterfalls. They dripped down her pale face and stopped when it got on to her bed, forming a puddle that crawled into the sheets. This routine was no different than any other night. Sleeping, nightmares, then crying. But then in the morning, she was like a whole different person.

She had always wondered what her nightmares meant. They were always somewhat different so she never bothered to actually do research. But this night, the girl believed that there was something unfathomable that no one had told her. She was destined to discover it.

This dream had baffled her mind. Why did she always have these nightmares? The girl, still deep in thought, tore away from her comfy, purple blanket and slid into her fluffy, white slippers. She tumbled down the stairs and hoped that she could see her Mom and Dad, but she knew that it would never happen.

Past
" Mom, Dad" the girl wailed. She had just experienced the worst thing in her whole life. It was her family shattering into tiny pieces. The gunshot was ear piercing. The bullet flew into her parents heart, and all you could hear was the sound of the bullet exploding as it dropped to the ground. The girls tears formed a puddle around her parents frail body. Her whole body was weak and she couldn't move. She felt as if the ground wasn't there anymore and she was collapsing into nothing and no one, where no one could help her.

Present
That was in the past. That happened almost 2 years ago. Now the girl was 16 and was living with her two adoptive brothers in the large, empty mansion. Her life was like the clouds on a rainy day. Gloomy. But she didn't know that there was more to her everyday life. And it would begin today.
