Baby Blues
I love the way your skin felt on mine
And how your laugh filled me with anticipation, you.. excited me, love.
In the mornings I liked the idea of you being in arms-reach, but when you're not there it's like you'd taken a piece of me with you, yet when I hear your voice,
kiss your lips,
squirm in your warm embrace,
it's like I've returned home.
And ever so often,
Morals thrown off – we sinned ungodly.
Yet you, shameless to say, were worth every sin.
Ain't no fighting it, I couldn't fight you, you never fought me.
Passed in rotation, it all happened too fast
It scared you, I know.
But there we were,
and once again your voice reminded me of all the good things in life. Your eyelids gave peace to my quiet place in this life, and you enticed me ever since.
