Twice on a road
Two days after the rescue from the prison, both teams and the squadron remained with a disturbing thought... that they somehow lost when they faced the Negative Ones... but that made them twice as hard as they trained before.
Ash was training with Artemis and Wolf, who was recovering, Claw with Hawk, Five with Night, Trick-shot and JJ, Sunshine with Bat and Phoenix was training May while he was looking at the helmet.
Mayra: How am I doing so far?
Phoenix gave no response. He was just looking at the helmet.
Mayra: Phoenix!
Phoenix: Wha- oh, sorry... you're doing great.
Mayra: How can you tell? You weren't even paying attention.
Phoenix: Sorry... I...
Mayra: Don't mention it... is okay...
Phoenix: May...
May moved away, in the other training room, the one with simulation, what was operated by Doc.
Mayra: Hey, Doc.
Phoenix: May... what are you doing there?
Mayra: Trying to get the attention of the leader.
Mech-Doc: All right... I installed a simulation. I'll make Phoenix noticing your effort.
Mayra: Thanks Doc.
Mech-Doc: Anytime, May.
May started fighting the androids in the simulation room, and in just one minute, she got the attention of all the other agents. Even Phoenix forgot about the helmet and looked at the lady of water kicking robot ass.
May single-handedly ten super-soldiers at once and got the attention of Five and Phoenix even more.
Five: Damn, she's good.
Phoenix: She totally is.
Night gave them "the look".
Five: What?
Phoenix: Night, look-
Night-eye: Don't wanna talk about it.
Night started to move away from the window where they were watching.
Phoenix: Ni-
Five: Leave her... is better that way...
Phoenix: I hate when I'm right...
Five: I know the feeling boy... I know the feeling.
Thirty seconds after and May finished, alone, the training, making a record.
When she got out of the room, she was greeted with applauses.
Mayra: What have I done to deserve this?
Five: You showed us that you're great.
Mayra: Aw, stop it.
Phoenix: And that you really deserve a place in the team.
Mayra: Thanks... now I feel better...
Phoenix: Sarcasm?
Mayra: No, I'm serious...
Phoenix: I'm glad, nice to meet you.
Mayra: Aw, you... I'm a little bit tired... wanna walk?
Phoenix: With you? Anytime.
