Rise in the light – Part 2
The whole lab was nothing more but a disaster now. Both teams were worried about Phoenix and Zero and the fact that they were blocked in the same "building" with a strong commander and with some unknown creatures.
Phoenix: Ah, shit, my-...
Phoenix stopped talking because he just realized that the girl he saved was right behind him.
Phoenix: You have heard nothing I just said, okay girl?
Little-girl: Okay.
Phoenix: Still, my head hurts.
Little-girl: Need any help?
Phoenix: No offence, but how can a little girl help me.
Just by moving her hand, that girl moved a few rocks and surprising, Zero's katana.
Phoenix: Okay, impressive... what's your name, girl?
Little-girl: Annie.
Phoenix: Annie... nice name.
Annie: Thanks...
Phoenix: Okay... wait a minute... Zero, where are you?
Annie: Who?
Phoenix: Zero... a 6 feet tall armored black ninja who doesn't talk.
Annie: You mean the guy who stands right behind you?
Phoenix: What...
Phoenix turns his head
Phoenix: Oh, yeah, that's him.
Annie: Now I see.
Phoenix: You okay, mate? How bad is your shoulder?
Annie: Wait, wait, wait... you said he doesn't talk, but you try to have a conversation with him.
Phoenix: Kinda.
Annie: And people call me crazy.
Phoenix: Look gi-... Annie, if you can't tell by now, we're rebels against this tyrannical empire.
Annie: Well, thank you, captain obvious.
Phoenix: You're not so scared now, are you?
Annie: Well... how would you be with an active bomb on your chest?
Phoenix: Good point there.
Zero put a hand on his injured shoulder and started to move.
Annie: What is he doing?
Phoenix: That means that he's fine and we can go.
Annie: For how long you know him?
Phoenix: I don't know five or six years.
Annie: Okay, now that makes a lot more sense.
Phoenix: Let's find an exit, shall we?
Meanwhile, at the surface, the rest of Phantom and team Ghost were talking about a saving plan to rescue Phoenix, Zero and the girl.
Night-eye: Any sign of them, Doc?
Mech-Doc: The scanners don't record anything and I didn't hear a sign from them for an hour.
Night-eye: And what should we do now?
Claw: First of all, Night, we need to get those civilians at a safe place.
