When lunch came around the next day, I went out to the front of the school to meet up with Brent. He was already there, and I was relieved to see that he’s listened to me and brought the truck instead of the Viper. I climbed in the passenger side and leaned over to kiss him. “Hey,” I said cheerfully.

“How was your morning?” he asked as he pulled away from the school.

“Not too bad. I saw Adam in the halls earlier and he took one look at me, paled, and then spun around to walk the other way. The people he’d been walking with were slightly confused as to why he’d suddenly left,” I said.

Brent grinned. “Good. That little punk learned his place last night.”

            I chuckled. “You’re such a hard ass,” I teased.

“I don’t know about my ass, but I know another part of my body that gets hard for you.”

“Pervert,” I said with a slight blush.

“And proud of it,” he stated.

We went to a little café for lunch. We joked around and flirted the whole time, and I was in a really good mood when he finally drove back to the school. He leaned in to kiss me tenderly. “I’ll see you in a few hours.”

I fisted my hand in his hair and gave him a hard kiss. “There, that should hold you until I get home.”

He groaned. “Now you’ve just got me all excited,” he whined.

I grinned at him. “You’ll survive. Love you,” I said as I opened the door.

“Love you too,” he called out.

When I got to History class that afternoon, I discovered that we were going to be starting a project with partners. Luckily, the teacher let us pick our own partners, so I paired up with Mandy.

“Do you want to come over after school so we can work on the project some more?” Mandy asked me.

I hesitated. I knew there was no way Brent would want me going there without him, because Zach would be there. “Um, why don’t you come over to my place instead?”

She seemed a little surprised. “Sure.”

“I have to warn you though. The people I live with are a little different then what you might be used too.”

She gave me a questioning look. “What do you mean?”

I bit my lip to hide my smile. “I’ll let you see for yourself when you get there. Do you need a ride?”

“Yeah, I normally just come to school with Zach.”

“No problem, I have my car here so you can just come with me. Someone will give you a ride back after as well.”

After class, Mandy and I went to our lockers together and then went out to the parking lot. I led her to my car and she let out a low whistle. “Nice car,” she said.

I grinned and patted the hood of my red Pontiac GTO. “Yeah, I like it.” We both got in and I started it up. I pulled out of the parking lot and headed to the house.
