Yata comes off as a gentleman at first greetings, all charming smiles and flirtatious compliments. He wants to persuade his victims, and sometimes regular people, into believing him to be a rather caring and kind male. Though underneath the façade he's created is a sadistic, temperamental monster. In nature of his species, he lives up to its name in all of its entirety, finding maniacal pleasure in bludgeoning and slaughtering his victims. He's rude, condescending, blunt, and overall insane in shorter terms. To describe his personality thoroughly would take pages upon pages of writing.

Most of Yata's victims were killed by strangulation after being drugged with sedatives, although his first victim was killed by a combination of bludgeoning and strangulation and his second victim was battered to death, with one further victim dying of a combination of shock and blood loss due to his carotid artery being cut. Many of Yata's victims had holes bored into their skulls through which Yata injected muriatic acid or, later, boiling water, directly into the brain in an attempt to render a permanent, submissive, unresistant state. On at least three occasions, this proved fatal although on none of these occasions was this Yata's intention. After a view victims, causes of death ranged from cut carotid arteries to strangulation. Each victim becoming dismembered, sometimes eaten other times preserved.
