A/N: I'm sorry I didn't update yesterday but can I tell you a quick story, which will explain everything?! okay well before I wrote part 8 I didn't know that I was gonna be going to the fair yesterday, I just wrote it bc it's my goal to go to the fair with a cute boy for a date lol. Anyways I was gonna write when I got home but we ended up going on the Zipper right before we left & I don't do well with spinny flippy rides even though I love them & I ended up getting really sick on the way home & I felt like poop the rest of the night so I went to bed when I got home. So yeah that's my excuse but this chapter is cliche and cute so I hope that makes up for it! okay I hope you like it (even tho I feel like it's kinda boring and repetitive but idk). leave some thoughts thanksssss love you all! (:

"What do you wanna go on first?" Aiden asks as he helps secure the red wristband around my wrist.

"Well when I was younger I always used to go on the rides that make you dizzy and stuff first, then the calmer ones. But whatever you wanna do."

"Alright so how 'bout that one?"

I look in the direction he's pointing to see the Swings, which were always one of my favorite rides as a kid. I nod my head and he takes my hand, guiding me through the sea of people around us until we reach a massive line for the ride.

The entire fair is packed. Little kids, teens, adults, and more than a few people I recognize from school.

"We're gonna be here a while," Aiden chuckles as we look up at the people flying in circles above our heads. After a few minutes pass of just listening to the chaos going on around us, he finally gets the conversation going. "So what's the worst thing that's ever happened to you at the fair?"

I think for a moment, going back through my memories of all the times I've ever been to the fair.

"Probably when I was younger, about 10 or 11 maybe, I came with my mom and a friend from school. My friend and I went up into the Fun House alone and when we got to the top we were messing around looking at ourselves in the crazy mirrors and then all of a sudden I turn around and there's a giant ass clown just in my face. So naturally, I scream at the top of my lungs and, in an attempt to run away, I ended up falling and hurting my ankle. My friend was out though, like gone way before me, so the clown guy tried helping me up but he was just so creepy and I was scared of him so I let out another bloodcurdling scream until some lady came to help me and yeah... I had nightmares for weeks after that."

Aiden tries to hide his laughter but his face is turning bright red so I have to tell him it's okay. With that, he falls into hysterics, drawing attention from everyone us. I laugh along with him, watching him in admiration. I like seeing him smile this much.

"Thinking back to it now, I was way too overdramatic. It was literally just a normal guy in a clown suit."

"Yeah, but you were little. I would have been scared too, just maybe not that scared," he continues to chuckle.

"Alright then, Mr. Tough Guy. Let's hear one of your stories, hmm?" I fold my arms over my chest and look up at him, eyebrows raised.

He taps his chin in thought, touching the little bit of stubble that he has.

"Nothing too bad has ever really happened to me. The worst was when I went on that ride, I think it's called the Zipper. Well I don't do very good with rides where you're upside down and spinning all over the place, which is exactly what that ride was. But after eating one too many fried Oreos, I let my friends convince me to get on it. The second I stepped off I ran to the trash and I just threw up, like a good three or four times. It was pure chocolate coming up. I can't even look at Oreos now without wanting to get sick."
