She padded on the mushy ground next to her sisters. They headed for the SunClan border, and weren't that far away.

"We're here." Deertail announced, his fur swaying with the wind.

Velvetpaw squealed I'm excitement. She'd been kinda disappointed when she looked at their territory for the first time. She preferred grass and sunshine rather then marsh lands and darkness. But now she was at the SunClan border! Everything was brighter on that side, sunnier, greener, better...

Grapevine sniffed the air. "We're not alone."

They spotted a SunClan patrol headed for them, they weren't far and it wouldn't be ling before they reached them.

"What are you doing here?" The cat in the lead hissed. He was known by Flameeyes, the cat who killed Antpaw and was also in Velvetpaw's dream.

"Patrolling the border, nothing different than what your doing" Redheart shot back.

The red tom growled. "I didn't order a side of attitude, missy."

Redheart raged. "You wanna mess with me?"

He nodded "It looks easy enough."

The cats leapt at each other, clawing at flanks and ears. Deertail turned tail and attacked a different cat.

While Velvetpaw was watching Redheart, not sure of what to do, a silver she-cat landed on her back. She tried to throw he off, but the cat was too heavy. She got off Velvetpaw's back and got in front of her so they could be fave to face.

"Too scared to fight back, huh?" The cat teased.

Velvetpaw scratched her nose. The smell of blood wafting up her nose.

The silver cat was about to take a blow to her side but stopped. "Velvetkit?" She gasped, but Deertail knocked her over and she fled for SunClan with one last glance at Velvetpaw.

Silverblade? She thought. Could my dream from so long ago, be... Real?

The SunClan cats were all gone and everyone was panting with blood all over their pelt.

  "We won!" Grapevine yowled.

Amberpaw and Mintpaw had been hiding behind a rock. "Guys! I saw Silverblade!"

  "Who's Silverblade?" Mintpaw asked.

"You don't remember her?" Velvetpaw asked in shock.

Amberpaw shrugged. "Why should we? She's not our mother."
