Later that day we had fled the rest place. I walked up to Tyrone and asked him what happened the three days I was out. Surprisingly, nothing unusual happened.
I sighed a relieving sigh. We all hopped in the truck. I was on top of Ella's lap and Jamie was driving this time.
Between us, it has been awkward. We haven't talked or barely looked at each other. Tyrone seemed to notice but he left it alone.
I caught myself staring at him. His eyes were focused on the road and there was a crease in between his eyebrows. His round lips were turned down and as if he felt someone watching him, he looked over to me.
I quickly hid my face before he noticed I was staring. I didn't know what was happening.
By this time in the day, it was late and I felt myself drifting off to sleep. I was confused about why I was so tired when I'd been sleeping for three days straight, but chose to ignore it.
I curled up best I could on Ella's lap and fell asleep.
*
I woke up with a start. The high pitched screeching woke me up and I covered my ears.
I felt the truck jerk right and I fell off of Ella onto Jamie. This made Jamie lose his grip on the stirring wheel and the truck's wheels suddenly turned left.
Jamie's hand gripped my arm and pulled me closer to him before I could fall back onto Ella. I saw Tyrone hold onto Ella the same way Jamie was holding onto me.
With a sudden tug, we were upside down. I felt the blood rushing to my head as we went in circles.
When the truck finally came to a stop, I felt like I was about to vomit.
"What was that?" I breathed out. "Jamie!?" I heard Ella scream. I looked behind me and saw Jamie's eyes fixed on me.I looked down and right in the middle of his chest was a large chunk of glass.
I tried to hop off of him but his arm was gripped on me. He started mumbling something and his voice came out hoarse. It was like he was so close yet so far away.
I hurriedly looked over to Ella. "Can you save him?" I said, almost a whisper. "I can only save minor things, this might drain all of my powers this time. When I tried to save you was enough." She said rudely but I chose to focus on the more important thing here.
"Try. Please." I looked behind Ella and saw Tyrone's eyes closed.
"Tyrone?" Ella turned back and shook his arm. "He's unconscious."
She looked back at Jamie and I moved. It was easier now because his grip wasn't tight anymore, which made me worry even more.
I saw Ella place her hands on his chest, close to where the glass was. She closed her eyes and said some things under her breath.
A minute later she jumped back, her eyes shot open and she gasped. She slowly turned to me. "I couldn't," She whispered almost so low I couldn't hear her.
Tears flooded my eyes. Of course they both couldn't die, I mean it's just not possible. While in the middle of a tear rolling down my eye. I heard shuffling.
Screeches and whispers. I looked over at Jamie, then to Tyrone. I watched curiously as their bodies were dragged out from the car both at the same time.
The screeching got louder as I covered my ears. It was the same screeching that made the truck go haywire.
I looked over to Ella who was just as clueless as me.
We both hopped out of the truck that was all bent and broken. The atmosphere completely changed but this time, I wasn't alone.
"Where are we? Where are the boys?" My voice went unnoticed as Ella walked forward. We were in a creepy place. The bloody walls didn't help with the look and it smelled of gore.
