It's rather sad how my best friends leave
But we don't even fight, their smiles deceive
Slowly moving away without a farewell
Leaving me alone to rot in the dark, only time will tell
No words are spoken, but the movements are wide
You said you'd always stay but I guess you lied
I suppose I wasn't popular enough, I had no one
You were my only friend, we had so much fun
It's all over now, just like life will be soon
You're the shining sun and I'm the hidden moon
Today you came up to me and waved
I faked a smile as you ran to the friend you faved
Pressing my headphones into my lonely ear
My heart slowly forgot you were even here
