-She Thought-

She sits in her room, tear stained face
Red and blotchy, her eyes puffed up
Why her? Why did it have to happen?
Nobody seems to care that she's alone
Nobody knows she's given up

She thought she had friends
Who were going to always be there
She thought they were the top squad
Who had each other's backs
Yet now they're strangers

She thought she had a happy family
Who loved no matter what
She thought she could trust the people at home
A friendly loving household
Yet now they hate each other

She thought her school was pretty good
The teachers and kids were nice
She thought that she'd fit in quickly
After leaving her old primary
Turns out everyone's monsters

She thought she could love herself
That she would at least have faith in being who she was
She thought she had a good heart
And that people quite liked her
Now she cuts her wrists because she's full of hatred
