Danny Fenton approached Big Belly Burger in Happy Harbor, Rhode Island. Today he was wearing a black shirt and a baseball cap so no one could suspect who he is. Recently he's been spotting missing posters of his face across towns, so to avoid recognition he decided to change his usual attire. Aside from the black shirt, he sometimes wore a dark blue hoodie that had been given to him by Sam for his fourteenth birthday. The birthday before the accident that changed his life, or is it afterlife now? Sometimes, he wonders why he even walked into that damn portal.

As he walked in, he was greeted by a cold wisp of fog floating out of his mouth, signaling a ghost was nearby. His steps paused when he spotted the cause. It was one of his former enemies, Johnny 13. He was a ghost who used to be part of his daily problems he had to fix back when he lived in Amity. Until this little episode happened with his girlfriend and him. Johnny and Danny called a truce to help Johnny get his girl back, which resulted in them becoming amazing friends.

Currently, Johnny was flirting with a couple of girls. A question lingered in his mind. How did he not notice Johnny's motorcycle outside? Kitty, his girlfriend, rolled her red eyes with jealousy but continued to watch.

Danny sighed in exasperation, but forced a grin. They really haven't changed at all.

"Hey, John! What're you doing here? It's been forever since I've seen you!" Danny yelled, waving at Johnny. The blonde ghost looked up with surprise flashing in his green eyes, but it was quickly replaced with a large smile when Danny tilted his hat upwards to show his face. He held up his hand while Johnny approached Danny. They both clasped each other's hands and pulled in for a side hug.

"Yo, Dan my man! It has been so long. What, like a few months?" Johnny grinned and inspected Danny from head to toe. "Man, you've gotten buff. And taller. I could hardly recognize you!"

Danny chuckled. "So what are you doing here? Obviously not for the burgers."

"I could ask you the same question," Johnny said. "But of course, not the burger part. I know you and burger joints."

Before he could answer, Danny was interrupted by a girlish squeal. "Danny! Look at you! You look cuter than last time! And thank you for rescuing me there. I was so annoyed at Jonny here for talking to those girls." Kitty said, hugging Danny and pecking him on the cheek.

"Hey, Kitty! I love what you've done with your hair." Danny said, admiring the trim. He could hardly notice it from afar, but from up close it's obvious it's been cut.

"Thank you! I had Johnny's shadow do it for me. Spectra is usually the one who cuts it, but she was being an ass at the time." Kitty explained, smiling as she flicked a lock of green hair.

Danny nodded, "That's nice. So I guess you two are heading somewhere?"

"Yeah, we're heading over to our favorite spot in the U.S. but I can't tell you yet, it's a secret." She giggled as she put her index finger up to her purple lips and winked.

Johnny facepalmed. "We're just stopping by for some R&R before we hit the road." He explained as he dragged his hand across his face. "After I chat with some new friends, we'll be on our way." Johnny gave Danny a smirk and a thumbs up. Kitty rolled her eyes with a scoff.

"Actually, we should go. Like, right now or else the sun will rise before we get there and you know the view's better at night." She grabbed his arm and started to pull him outside the restaurant. "Come on Johnny." Before they stepped outside, Kitty turned back to Danny and waved at him. "It was nice seeing you again, Danny! Take care!"

Danny waved his hand in farewell as the couple walked outside of the restaurant. He idly watched as Johnny and Kitty got onto the bike and heard the thrall of the engine growl and roar as it started. Soon, the two were driving away and out of his sight. In the back of his mind, he couldn't help but be a little jealous- they were together in life and death. They had a second chance to be together when his friends and family didn't. He quickly shook the depressing thought away. That was then, this is now, he had to move on no matter how hard it was.

He forced a small polite smile as he ordered his take-out from the cashier.
