By the end of two weeks Lana and I had finally worked everything out. We had decided to present our report in the form of an interview recording.
However, interview meant a lot of information to be researched, which meant a lot of time to be spent together. At her house.
Which also meant a lot of Lucas.
Lana wasn't particularly happy with Lucas stealing away my focus with his jokes and our never ending banter, but seeing as she also spent considerable time on her phone with Emili she couldn't exactly complain.
Lana and Emili's date had went 'fabulous' as she had quoted to me the next day. They had already gone on 3 dates and she had only been here for a total of 4 weeks.
(That didn't made me reconsider my life choices at all.)
As Friday closed down, I found myself dancing down the hallway during 6th period Physics. While busting out some top notch moves, I ran into the most unlikely person.
Not because I didn't expect him. Well, I didn't, he should had been in that class. But because no one came here.
"Some great dance moves. You should try for America's Got Talent," Lucas applauded, with a mischevious smile.
"I don't need their validation. Shouldn't you be in class?" I asked.
"Shouldn't you? We share all the classes remember?" He answered, amused.
"6. We share 6 classes. And I asked you first."
"Oh 2 less. Such a big difference. You are the one dancing in the hallways. Don't these cameras work?" He asked, pointing to the cameras in the corner.
We were in the third floor corridor, the section been closed off since the renovations started, which ultimately never got completed.
"They had cut them off when the renovations started. Not many know that. Paige told me," I replied with a shrug.
"Don't ever tell anyone. Paige will kill me," I added in a hurry.
Seeing the horror on my face, he laughed and said, "I won't. I don't want Paige to hurt me. How does she know?"
"She knows everything. Being the perfect student, teachers trust her. A little too much if you ask me."
He laughed again, nodding his head in understanding. "So what are you doing here exactly?"
"Well remember the quiz we had today? I didn't really understand the material. So I thought how I haven't danced in a while."
"You haven't danced in a while?" He repeated with amusement laced in his voice.
"Yes. You see my dance moves needed a little work. What better time! What about you?"
"I saw you coming here so I followed. It was just one quiz. He wasn't even going to grade us."
"He wasn't? Why did nobody tell me that?" I asked surprised.
"People must have taught you paid attention."
"Maybe I should," I remarked with a sigh. Then something struck me. "Wait. You followed me? How long were you standing there, watching me creep?"
"Finally you caught on to that. Not long. Only one song. Awesome dance moves as I mentioned," he laughed and I ended up hitting him on the chest.
(Reaching his head was too much work.)
"Ok. Now what?" He asked.
"Let's dance," I announced loudly.
And then we danced. I also realised we were not the most amazing dancers out there. Lavender would be sad.
Making our way down for 7th period, Lucas turned to me, "You said you didn't understand the Physics lesson?"
"Oh yeah. The lenses and rays just go over my head. Why?"
"Well I do understand them. I can help you if you want."
"You would? Don't you have enough already. With track and lessons?" I asked, genuinely surprised.
"Helping you will only solidify my own concepts so it's okay. An hour won't kill anyone. You already are over enough anyways," he said with a laugh.
(Did I already say how nice it was?)
"If that is your subtle way of saying I am stealing all your food then don't even try. I am still going to," I returned laughing.
"But sure. That would be a great help. Thank you!" I added, flashing him my best smile as we both settled in our seats.
"What's with the million dollar smile?" Paige asked, as she sat in the seat in front of us.
"Lucas is going to help me in Physics," I answered excitedly as Lucas' friend came to talk to him.
"Is it the Physics tutoring or the tutor that got you so happy?" Paige asked in a low voice.
Girls were convinced Lucas and I had something going on. Even June, who was fully rooting me and Will. And Lana ofcourse wasn't a great help.
"Shut up. You know it's not like that," I stated.
"Sure," Paige answered, streching out the e. "So how about lunch tomorrow? We all haven't hung out in so long."
"We went shopping tuesday Pie," I said laughing.
But lunch sounded good. Any time with the girls was good.
"Shush. We can invite Lana too. It would be nice to have her around for more than hour. She is hilarious," Paige said.
"Where are you inviting my sister to?" Lucas said leaning into our conversation.
"Lunch. Tomorrow," I replied.
"And you don't invite me. That's how you pay me for helping you out," Lucas gasped, placing his hand on his heart.
Chrisee has rubbed off on him.
"You haven't even started the lesson. Start helping me out and then we can figure out a way to pay you back," I said leaning forward a bit.
"Really. That sounds interesting," he replied leaning forward as well.
The space between us decreased and few move forwards and we would be kissing. Sort of.
I wouldn't mind it.
"OK you can cut the sexual tension here with a butter knife," Paige loudly exclaimed.
This resulted in the people around us to turn and look.
"Paige," I cried out but to no avail. She was already grinning in victory, while Lucas just sat laughing while I turned red.
Some friends I had.

Fun fact: None of the cameras at my school worked, so I did in fact dance in the corridors at random times a few times.
Also I have written more than 10,000 words as of last chapter so yay me.
