Y/N, L/N was the Queens doll. Her most prized possesion. She looked pretty and innocent. But the reason people don't know what happens when you mess with her is because dead men tell no tales.
"Your hignness, you be revived a letter from the queen." My maid, Zella said as she walked in and handed me the letter and my tea.
"Ah, Earl Grey. The way I like it. Thank you, you can go now." I said and nodded my head. Then carefully opened the letter.
Dear Y/N,
The recent murder cases have been quite puzzling. I'd like for my Doll and my Guard Dog to work together. Please leave for the Phantomhive manor as soon as possible. You will be staying there until the case is solved.
Thank you,
Queen Victoria.I sighed and slightly shook my head. "I could easily solve this on my own. Zella!" I shouted and a few seconds later she appeared next to my bed.
"Yes?" She asked and tilted her head. I just chuckled at her puzzled expression.
"We're heading to the Phantomhive estate. Please have a carriage ready and help me pack." I said and she nodded. We wound up packing a few dresses, some suits since I hated dresses, sleepwear, and shirts and pants. "Thank you." I said as I stepped into the carriage.
"No problem your hignness. It's only my job, blood into roses, sunsets into darkness, and life into death. An L/N maid or butler who can't do what we do isn't worth your time." She said and smiled. I tapped the top of the carriage to signal to my butler, Zac that we were ready to go.
"How long of a ride is it?" I asked and crossed my legs, they weren't all that visible. I was wearing knee high black boots and black thigh high socks along with a (f/c) lace, dress. It was tight towards the top and flowed out at the bottom. (The dress up top. But the front it's cut out and like a shorter skirt. So you can see the boots. Sorry if it's complicated.)
"About forty minutes m'lady." She answer and I rolled my eyes. I hated being called m'lady it was annoying.
"Haven't I told you? Don't call me that, please. It's annoying." I said, annoyance lacing my tone.
"Very well young master." She said and I smiled and nodded. As if to say 'that's better.' "We're here." She said and opened the carriage door. Then stepped down and held her hand out for me to grab. I neglected it and rolled my eyes, stepping down on my own.
"You must be Lady (Y/N) of the (L/N) manor?" A black haired butler asked and gave a fake smile, which I returned.
"No need for formalities. Just call me (Y/N). May I ask who you are?" I asked and smirked. He was shocked at how straightforward and demanding I was for a lady.
"My name is Sebastian Michaelis. The young master is waiting for you in his study. We will unpack your bags." He said and opened the door for me. I just nodded as I didn't speak unless I found it a nessecity. I found his study easily and knocked twice.
"Come in." I heard a muffled monotone voice say. I walked in and the heels of my boots clicked against the floor.
"Earl Phantomhive, am I correct?" I asked and stopped in front of his desk. He looked at me wide eyed.
"Yes. And you are?" He asked me. Knowing who I was but wanting clarification.
"(Y/N, L/N), the Queens doll." I said with a smile. Not a real one of course. He motioned for me to sit.
"It seems we'll be working togther on this case?" He asked and tilted his head. I just nodded. "Should we begin tomorrow? It appears neither of us are in the mood for crime at the moment." He said and pursed his lips. I just looked at his eyepatch.
"Yes, that seems like a great idea." I replied. Having a feeling of what was behind the patch. Probably a contract mark. His butler certainly isn't a human. I had two marks. One on my left eye and one on my collar bone. I wore color contacts though to hide it being so obvious.
"Well then, it seems we are done for today. I'll see you at dinner." He said and walked out. I walked out closely behind him. Then went into my room where Zella was.
"I can tell you want out of that dress, would you like help?" She asked and I nodded. She dressed me into a red and black suit. Then put my boots back on.
"Thank you, Zella." I said and nodded curtly. She just smiled, a fake smile of course. But nevertheless a smile.
"Do you think they'll find out about you being a hybrid?" She asked me. I shrugged and hummed.
"Yeah, probably sooner or later. Not tgat it matters. The butler isn't human so they'd have no room to judge me." I said and brushed the branding mark on my thigh. "The name, Ciel Phantomhive. It sounds familiar though." I sighed and ran my hand over it.
"Maybe you're just over thinking." She replied and I hummed in agreeance.
"Young master, dinner is ready." My butler, Zac told me as he opened the door. I stood up and walked side by side with him. He pulled out my chair and served me my food.
"Thank you." I said and started eating. Ciel gave me a weird look.
"Why are you thanking him? It's his job he's your butler." He stated. I roles my eyes.
"That's the point. They're my servants, they work hard. They deserve appreciation." I stated and finished my dinner. "Zac and Zella. After you've done dishes you're free to do whatever tonight. Just keep in mind this isn't our manor." I stated and got up. Ciel was still shocked at my bluntness.
"You're so straightforward for a woman Miss (L/N)." Ciel said, still in awe.
"I've already told you, no formalities. I hate them. And I don't always act ladylike. May want to get used to it Lord Phantomhive." I smirked and walked off towards my room. Well, the room he had given me. I silently smiled to myself, "You have no idea who you're working with, love." I muttered quietly.
