Chapter 20. Run away

It's been three weeks since the party, and things were not going well. What Charlie did wouldn't stop buzzing around my mind, depression was beginning to wesile its way back into my life.

"Leondre, can you please come over and talk to Luna. Since the party shes barely eaten a thing, we hardly ever see her because she locks herself in her room all day every day. Her father and i are really worried, she wont listen to anything and wont say a word to us. Please come and try and talk to her." My mum said down the phone to Leo.
"Sure, ill be right up." Leo answered, hanging up quickly.

Knock knock.
"Luna, can i come in." Came Leo's voice from behind the door.
I hadn't eaten anything in days and my stomach was growling fearsly.
"Luna." Leo called. "Luna let me in." Leo begged. "Come on, please."
Standing up i went up to my bedroom door, standing there.
"Luna. Come on, i know your in there so just open up." Leo urged. "Sigh."
I had to get out of here. I slipped some shoes on, grabbed a small bag and when into the en-suit bathroom. Walking up to the window i opened it, climbing out i jumped onto the roof of the conservatory. Making my way down to the ground i run off into the forest where i cant be found.

Leo's pov

"Any luck?" Luna's mum/Cathy asked.
"Nope, nothing." I answered, standing up.
"Knock knock. Luna darling, can we come in?" Cathy asked. "Is she in there?"
"Yeh, she hasn't left. come to think of it she hasn't anything."
"What, no nothing?" Cathy exclaimed.
"Not, a, sound."
"Ok now i'm really worried. Luna sweetheart i'm coming in ok." Cathy said, opening the door. "OH MY GOD." Cathy screamed.
"What is it?" I asked, walking into the room.
"Shes not in here." Cathy.
"What!?" I said rushing in. She was not in her room, speeding my way into her bathroom i noticed her window was open. "Look."

*Slight time skip*

We ran through the forest calling Luna name, this could be the only place she we would go.

Luna's pov

When i finally ran out of breath i sat down behind a large rock, hiding away from everything.
"Luna. Luna where are you?" I heard Leo's voice calling out to me from far away.
Surely there was no way he could find me so quickly. Realizing I didn't have much time left on my own before Leo found me I opened my bag and pulled out a thin flat box and opened it,  I pulled out a sharp blade from within. Rolling up my sleeve I placed it to my skin, pushed down and swiftly swiped it across my wrist. Again and again, five or six times, blood gushing out before Leo's voice broke the silence again.
"Luna where are you."  He called out, only meters away.
Realizing he was so close i fumbled with the blade, dropping it on the ground below as the warm blood from my cuts coated my arm and the green grass below turning everything red.
"Luna! What happened?" Leo said shocked.
Freezing in place, i did not say a word in fear that i would just break down on the spot.
"Luna, please talk to me." Leo whispered, his voice quivering as he knelt down in front of me.
"I'm sorry." I sniffed.
"Its ok. Its ok." Leo said, moving forwards, hugging me closely.
"Leo, your shirt." I pulled away slightly, looking at the blood stain left on Leo's shirt.
"Its ok, it'll wash out." Leo said, hugging me once again.

*Time skip*

"Luna sweetie, why didn't you tell me about this?" My mother asked, her eyes filling with tears.
"I'm sorry." I mumbled, holding back tears.
"Hey." Leo said taking my hand in his. "Everything's going to be fine." He continued smiling down at me.
"I'll go make us some tea." My mother said walking out of the room.
Leo began to trace the lines on my palm with his finger, still smiling softly.
"Hey that tickles." I giggled
"Ha ha, there's that beautiful i've been looking for." Leo chuckled.
"Not fair." I smiled.
"It worked though." Leo smirked.
