ELLIE'S POV

"Mommy?" I called throughout the almost empty sounding house, "Daddy?" Nothing.

My family normally doesn't leave me home alone considering I'm only 8.

"Tye?" The small puppy would normally come running but instead the pitter-patter of his paws against the wooden floors there was only Silence.

I walked along the hallway, leading to the kitchen. The hall window was open and red and yellow leaves were scattered along the ground.

Why didn't momma close the window when she got home? I slowly opened the blue kitchen door, reviling the kitchen as it normally would be, everything in perfect order.

"Mom-" A small hand was placed over my mouth. I tried screaming but only muffled yelps were realized from my mouth.

"Shhhh," my attacker whispered in my ear and they released there hand. I quickly spun around to face the intruder and relief flooded through me as I realized who it was.

"Harry what-" he grabbed my hand leading me toward the stairs.

"Theres something going on and I need you to hide." He whispered holding my hand protectively as he led me up the stairs.

"What are-" I began but he cut me off almost immediately.

"Theres a...sickness thats been going around and well I just don't want you to get sick, ok?" His cheeks reddened as he looked at me. "So promise you'll stay in your room until I come back for you."

"I promise." I whispered. With Harry being only two years older than me he was extremely tall for his age.

He smiled bringing me to my room.

"Now just go lay down until I come come back." He kissed my forehead and gently locked and closed the door behind him. I laid down on my bed trying to process every thing that had happened.

I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

--------------------------------

When I woke up all I could hear was screaming.

"H-Harry?" I called trying to stand up but my legs felt like jelly.

I wobbled my way over to the window, I gently pulled back the curtain and let out a scream.

The sky was a soft black, and clouds coated the sky.

Two houses across the street were on fire.

Many people were covered in blood trying to get into their cars.

Blood covered most of the roads and sidewalks. I stood there in shock. How could this happen? It had become hard to breathe and before I knew it I was falling backwards and everything went black.
