Chapter 2
-------------------------------------

"Ah, this is the life Lucky!" I said to my horse as he was grazing.

"Ok, I think we should keep going." I thought out loud. I hopped back onto Lucky as he stepped forward while I was getting on.

"Lucky!" I scolded him, "I could have fallen!" I didn't want to be too mean to Lucky, but I had to let him know not to do it again.

As we walked out of my secret place, Lucky looked all around him. "What's got you spooked?" I asked him.

As if in response, Lucky snorted and stopped his fore hoof on the ground. A breeze blew by and I told Lucky, "It was only the wind boy, don't be afraid."

As we moved on, Lucky still wouldn't settle down, he acted like someone or something was following us.

To prove to Lucky that there was nothing there, I hopped off of him and walked around showing him we were the only two in that area.

"It's ok boy, nothing out there." I reassured Lucky. I got back onto Lucky and right as we started to walk off, a growl came from the bushes on my left. A mother coyote walked out of the bushes to reveal two pups. She growled another time and then jumped at Luckys heels.

Lucky reared and I fell off of Lucky as he galloped away. The mother coyote now turned her attention to me, and started walking towards me.

I slowly got to my feet and saw my escape, 20 feet ahead of me there was a tree I could climb to ditch the coyote. As I slowly inched my way forward, the coyote started walking faster at me.

"Someone help!" my mind screamed.

I was almost to the tree when Lucky ran up to the coyote and reared again trying to scare the coyote. When Lucky brought his feet down, he must have just barely stepped on the coyotes tail, because the coyote yelped and ran back to her babies.

"Thank you Lucky! You saved my life!" I told Lucky. "Now, let's go home."
