“Mom, im home.” I greeted, walking in to the house.

Quickly i ran up stairs and put my bags away, then jogged down stairs and went to look for my mom.She was in the kitchen starting dinner,pot roast, yum.

“Hey mom, can Maliki have dinner over here tonight?” I asked.

“Sure hun.”My mom replied, "And why don't we invite Zach's family over as well?"

"Okay! Seems like a lot of fun!" I said, jumping in glee. _______________________________________________________

Dinner was great- Maliki came over, kind of shy and not looking like he really wanted to eat, but I was able to put some good food on his plate so that he would ultimately eat. Zach and his family was pretty cool as well, since they all welcomed Maliki and didn't ask him any weird questions (like the ones that bug the person), and even Zach played around with him and talked as if they had been friends forever. My parents also had smiles on their faces seeing Maliki eat well and have him talk during dinner. I couldn't help but keep stealing glances at him whenever I could. Now I was walking him home, through the forest.

"So how'd you like dinner?" I asked.

"It was... nice." Maliki answered.

“They just want to get to know you babe,their my family.” I whispered.

“I know baby, ill just have to get used to it.” He grinned

We were sitting on his couch watching Saturday Night Live when Mal starts yawning and asks if i want to go to bed.

“Sure babe, hold on Andy Samberg is singing with Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga I gotta see this.” I laughed.
