Chapter #9

As the 3 of them walked towards Yuma, Yuma was running towards them. Then he reached them.

"Hey. You must be Evelyn's family." Says Yuma.

"And you must be Yuma Tsukumo. Hello I'm Raven. Evelyn's mother, and this is Daniel, Evelyn's older brother." Explains Raven.

"I didn't know that Evelyn had an older brother. I have an older sister. Her name is Cari." Says Yuma.

Dan looks behind him to see where Evelyn was.

"Hurry up Evelyn!" Shouts Dan.

"I can take as long as I want." Says Evelyn with her hands in her blue sweater pockets.

"Evelyn!" Hissed her mother.

Yuma just stood there.

"Wow she's ...she's ...." Thinks Yuma. Just looking at her hair up in a high ponytail with strands of hair swaying in the breeze, and her clothes. She wore the same thing that Yuma met her in, just with a blue hoodie with the sleeves rolled up just past her elbows. And a silver necklace, which Yuma has not see before.

Evelyn caught Yuma starring at her.

"Yuma. Yuma. Yuma!" Shouts Dan.

"Hmm. Oh right! Umm, this way to the house." Says Yuma.

They started walking to the house. Astral then appeared.

"Smooth." Says Astral.

"What are you talking about? Everything went well." Says Yuma.

Astral sighs.

"If you say so." Replies Astral.

Yuma's jaw drops.

"What are you saying Astral!" Exclaims Yuma.

"You were caught staring at Evelyn, by Evelyn." Explains Astral.

"So. Maybe she wont think it means anything." Suggests Yuma.

"Who is he talking to?" Asks Dan.

"Oh. He as an imaginary duelist friend, like me." Explains Evelyn.

"How do you know?" Asks Dan.

"I can see him. Yuma can also see my friend." Explains Evelyn.

"Ohh. Okay." Says Dan.

Evelyn laughs, but only for a second.

Just then Yuma stops.

"We're here!" Exclaims Yuma.

They walked to the door, and walked inside. Yuma first, then Dan, Evelyn, and Raven. Raven closed the door.

"Cari! Grandma! We're here!" Shouts Yuma into the house.

"About time you got back." Cari shouts back, peeking around the corner.

"Oh hi. I'm Yuma's sister Cari." Explains Cari, holding out her hand to Dan.

"Hi I'm Daniel, but people call me Dan." Says Dan, shaking Cari's hand.

Then Grandma walked in.

"Hello, I'm (A/N I forget their Grandma's name so comment if you know it. For now it will be G/N. It stands for Grandma's Name.) G/N. Yuma's grandmother." Says Grandma.

"Hi I'm Raven, Evelyn's mother. And this is Daniel, Evelyn's older brother." Explains Raven, shaking G/N's hand.

"Please come sit. Dinner is ready and on the table." Says Grandma.

Grandma, Evelyn, Dan, and Raven walked into the kitchen and sat at the table. Yuma was held back by Cari.

"Do not act like a pig tonight." Cari said, reminding Yuma.

"Relax Cari, I have everything under control." Says Yuma.

Astral shakes his head.

Yuma is amazed at the food that is sitting on the table.

"It all looks so good." Says Yuma drooling as he sats down.

"Alright dig in." Says Grandma.

Yuma dives in. Eating a bit form everything.

"No Yuma!" Shouts Cari.

"Oh my." Says Raven.

"You can dress him up, but you can't make him eat properly." Says Grandma.

"That's for sure." Agrees Cari.

Yuma ignores everything that was said.

"What?" Asks Yuma with food in his mouth.

Everyone laughs, but Evelyn. She wasn't paying attention either.

"Evelyn? Are you alright?" Asks Raven.

Everyone looks at Evelyn.

"Yeah are you okay? You haven't eaten anything." Asks Yuma.

Evelyn doesn't answer.

"I need to be excused." Says Evelyn getting up and leaving the room.

Everyone went silent.

"What happened to her?" Asks Yuma.

"I don't know? Maybe I should go talk to her." Suggests Dan.

"No, I'll go." Says Yuma. Getting up.

Yuma walked to the hallway to see that it was empty.

"Maybe she went outside." Thought Yuma.

He opened the door, and saw Evelyn sitting on the step. Yuma walks over and sits down next to her.

"Evelyn, what's wrong?" Asks Yuma.

She looks away.

"Please Evelyn, tell me. I want to help." Explains Yuma.

Evelyn gets up quickly and faces Yuma.

"Why should I tell you! I don't  even know you!" Exclaims Evelyn.

"Yes you do Evelyn." Says Yuma.

"Huh?" Says Evelyn softly.

"Because we duelled. Duelling makes bonds between duelists." Explains Yuma.

"Yuma is right. Duelling does make a bond. You see, Yuma and I wouldn't be getting along if it weren't for duelling." Says Astral.

"You can tell me what's bothering you." Says Yuma.

Evelyn sighs.

"I just found out that an old friend is here, in Heartland City." Says Evelyn stopping. She starts to cry.

"I wish I could see him again cause.... I need to talk to him." Says a sobbing Evelyn.

"Him. Who could it be? Ohh!" Thinks Yuma.

"It can't be a coincidence that Evelyn and Kite both have a Galaxy Eyes. Plus, Kite is a guy." Thinks Yuma.

"It this person's name Kite?" Asks Yuma as calmly as he could.

Evelyn looks at Yuma with shock. Yuma was afraid to know the answer. Evelyn takes a deep breath and answers the question.
