Y/h/t= Your home town (Or where you live)

Luke-Your POV!

I had recently gone through a rough breakup and I was really depressed. I had pushed my friends away because I didn't want to talk.

But at the same time, I was lonely. I have no pets so, I figured it was time. I didn't have much of a backyard in my flat, so it wouldn't be an ideal place for a puppy or dog.

I was thinking about other options and a kitten popped into my mind. A kitten! Of course, I love them! They are so cute!

I decided on a humane society and I got into the car. I drove to the store first and went to the kitten/cat area. I need to get toys, food and other stuff for him/her. I haven't decided on what gender I want.

I think when I get there, I will know. After I paid I drove back home and set everything up. I put the litter box in the laundry room and set up the bowls in the kitchen.

I bought a bed and toys, which I put in my room. I checked the time and I gasped, "Oh my gosh! It's already 7 pm!" I said to myself. Yes I talk to myself, I know I'm weird.

But anyway it was too late to get the kitten today, so I planned on getting him/her tomorrow. I did my nightly routine and went to bed.

~The Next Day~

I woke up and called the humane society. "Hello, thank you for calling Y/h/t humane society. I am Sarah, how may I help you?" The lady said.

"Hi, I am interested in adopting a kitten today. How would that work? Like, do I have to schedule a time or something?"

"Um, no. But, we do have times for people to come in to adopt and look at the kitties. We have 4 different times. A 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 6 pm. Which one works best for you? All of them have spots left."

I wanted to get the kitten as fast and soon as I can so I said, "Can I go to the 9 am one?" "Yes, and do you have any other questions?"

"Yes, do we have to bring anything?" "It's ideal that you bring a kennel or something to get them home safely."

"I bought stuff yesterday, so I will bring the kennel." "Ok, now I need some information from you."

I gave her my name, number, address and everything else she needed for the file stuff. After I got dressed and ate breakfast.

I finished and grabbed my keys before walking out the door. I set the kennel in the backseat and drove to the humane society.

When I got there, I grabbed all the paperwork the lady told me to bring and walked inside. I walked to the front desk and said, "Hi, I'm here to look at the kittens for the 9 o'clock time." She looked up and smiled.

"Hi, please sign in here." She said while pushing a clipboard forward. "Then, go ahead and wait over there until the group is called." I nodded and signed in. I sat down and started going through my social medias until I heard, "All people for the kitten adoptions for 9 o'clock." About 6 of us stood up and followed the lady into a room.

There were 6 kittens, one for each of us! We all sat down and a lady stood in the center of the room, "Hello everyone and welcome to the Y/h/t humane society. Here is what will happen, the girls will bring the kittens out. Play with them and then you may choose."
