While joi and Ed walked out the door of his small apartment, he was contemplating on where they were going exactly.

Of course he did not take joi as the pothead type, but what she said brought curiosity to his mind.

"Where is it were going?" He questions as Joi leads him to his car.

Without answering his question she walked out to his car, "I don't have my-" cutting Ed off, Joi dangles the keys in front of him before unlocking the car and getting in the drivers side.

With no question Ed got in the passenger side of the car and stared at the girl as she backed out of the parking space.

"Yes carrot?" Without looking at him she speaks noticing from the corner of her eye that he is staring.

"Princess I don't like surprises" he groans and stares out the window as Joi drives silently to where ever it is she's taking him.

"This is a very sketchy road" he breaks the silence that's been going on for 10 minutes while her eyes are focused on the road in front of her.

"You know usually the man drives" again talking she finally glances at him as he twiddles his thumbs in boredom.

"You know that's sexist" her voice is light while Ed looks up at her surprised she has talked.

"We've been driving for like 10 minutes Christ are we going to China?" Sarcastically he talks to her while her head is in the clouds.

"Yes. Surprise" she says in a dull voice before turning down a dirt road into the forests

"Are you gonna kill me back here" he laughs nervously making the girl smile staring at the road.

"No carrot I am not going to kill you" quietly the car comes to a stop, putting the car in park she turns the keys so the it stops and you can hear the quiet muffle of the trees and birds as they fly through.

When Ed looks up he noticed a big brick building he did not see before, this building looks old and is in the middle of the forest like in once was filled with many other buildings also.

He breathes out staring up at the building before him while the girl grabs his hand and pulls him towards it.

"Don't speak" she whispers before pushing the brown, broken door open to reveal the inside.

When you walk into this building there is an old staircase leading to the upstairs where there was probably once living people.

That's when Ed audibly gasps as his eyes leave the staircases and lands on the walls that when you look at together is a night sky, this beautiful painting takes up the walls of this building like clothes as its beauty is so hard to see without your eyes widening a bit.

This sky is dark blue but fades into a lighter blue and down to a tinted yellow shade  on the left wall which seems to be the sun coming up.

The rest is dark blue with tints of lighter and darker shades of blue which made it seem more real.

The details were nicely done like someone were here for hours painting and painting until they've created this beautiful night sky.

"Princess" he says unable to say more.

"Do you like it?" She whispers hopeful someone likes the art she pours her heart into and paints with no limits.

She's never shown another soul her art work, let alone have anyone else in this building.

It was her place she came to write in, and the place she came to when she had this need, this inspiration to do something, and when she did she came here with her buckets of paint and used nothing but her hands to create the works of art displayed all over these  walls.

"Did you do this?" He speaks walking all the way in turning around a few times studying the beauty carefully.

"Mhmm" she hums leaving him by himself, walking up the steps and to the next floor.

These walls, they were the walls she expressed her hate, her hate for herself.

The colors she used were not bright nor pleasant.

Black and dark blue was what she used as it expressed how she felt that day crying and crying as her hands shook and painted endlessly on these walls, her little book sitting open not that far away.

There was a black tree in the middle of the wall, this tree had no leaves just pointing branches as they weaved there way around the room she closed her eyes as the room came alive.

As it did when she was painting it

I couldn't stop I pulled in and stepped on the breaks so hard I'm surprised I wasn't sent through the windshield, not that I would mind too much.

I popped the trunk of my car opening it to grab the two black cans of paint that set there reading to be used and splat on the walls with meaning.

Griping the handles of the paint I cried as I kicked the door to the building open and ran inside up the steps.

The walls were clean, a fresh white color, my canvas.

Popping the lids of the paint I dipped a finger in it and closed my eyes.

"Your quite the artist little princess" he whispers in the ear of Joi as she's standing in the room of the upstairs staring at these walls intently.

"Meh" she spoke turning around to meet Eds eyes.

"Not meh, your seriously good princess" he insisted smiling.

"Well, thank you" she spoke before turning back around and taking a deep breath.
