(1998) based on an actual concert I watched on YouTube. You began to applaud and cheer with the rest of the crowd as the five handsome boys on stage finished performing one of their songs 'As Long As You Love Me.' You still couldn't believe that you were actually here at a Backstreet Boys concert, being a fan for about three years now this was truly a dream come true. Earlier today while you were moping in your pillow about not being able to go to this very concert, your mother had walked in telling you 'to stop being a baby and get up' of course you obeyed sitting up with a frown on your face. Your mother smiled handing you a simple white envelope and replying with a quick 'happy early birthday!' Which happened to be in a month. Curiously, you opened the envelope to find two glorious Backstreet Boys tickets the seats only three rows behind from the very front, one for you and the other one most likely for your best friend Lana who loved the boys just as much. Not being able to contain your excitement you screamed loudly immediately engulfing your mother into a gigantic bear hug while saying 'thank you' a million times. The concert was almost done there only being two songs left and although you were happy to be here you couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed that it was so close to ending. Lana turned seeing the sudden frown on your face already knowing the meaning behind it, she wrapped an arm around you giving you a wide comforting smile. This made you feel better, you didn't want to bring yourself down especially when the night wasn't over just yet. You grinned wrapping an arm around Lana back and watched as Kevin walked closer to the end of the stage ready to announce the next song that they would perform next.
"Thank you all for being here tonight" Kevin spoke while wiping the sweat that was on his forehead. "Now for this next song we would love to do something a little different. Can we please get three ladies from this lovely crowd to come up here and join us?" The crowd began to go nuts, girls screaming 'PICK ME.' This was a very rare thing to happen and there was a very slim chance of being picked and you knew this so you didn't bother to get your hopes up. You watched as already two girls who looked to be on the verge of passing out were guided to the backstage area, then suddenly you felt a tap on your left shoulder and a deep voice say 'excuse me.' You turned around to see a very tall man who looked to be security and suddenly you got nervous about the possibility of being in trouble even though you had done nothing wrong. "Y-yes s-sir?" You stuttered and boy you were not prepared for what came next. "Would you like to come on stage young lady?" All of the sudden your heart stopped. You weren't sure if you had heard him right. "W-what?" You blurted out staring at the man blankly. "SHE WOULD LOVE TO" an outburst from Lana came from behind and you were shoved forward. The man nodded and began to lead you in the direction where the two other girls went through, you turned around one last time to see Lana jumping up and down and giving you an encouraging thumbs up and then you continued to follow the man. "Right this way ma'am" he pulled back a black curtain revealing some stairs. The closer you got the more you began to comprehend what was happening and when you climbed up those steps and saw the stage and the Backstreet Boys right in front of you it finally knocked you back into reality. You felt your breathing begin to shorten as you stood right next to the two other girls, your body began to tremble and your hand began to fiddle nervously with the navy blue scrunchie on your wrist. You tried to calm yourself a bit but when Kevin walked through the curtains and smiled brightly at the three of the girls including you, holding out his arm for the first girl in line and guiding her out on stage to were three small white tables were set, you panicked and right there and then felt like digging a hole and burying yourself. The next member to come was Howie who greeted you both with a 'hello' and led the second girl to the next table and finally it was your turn. You stepped up a little closer as your heart rate sped up, even more, the next member that began to walk towards you immediately made you want to faint because he was your favorite Backstreet Boy.Nick Carter. He finally stood right in front of you, his blonde parted hair sticking to his forehead, his all white baggy attire a bit damp from sweating and his blue eyes staring straight into yours as he offered you a perfect bright smile. You wanted to melt. Nick gently placed a hand on your lower back and began to lead you on to the stage where the last table was. From up here, you could see the entire sold out arena which made you even more nervous than you already were. Nick pulled out a chair and gestured for you to take a seat making your heart flutter as you returned a light smile and gladly did so.
"This song is called I'll never break your heart" Aj announced throwing a kiss to the crowd which made all the girls swoon. The lights dimmed and the music began to play.
"Baby, I know your hurting" Kevin spoke into the mic.
"Hi, what's your name?" You turned to see Nick crouched down beside you slightly leaning into your face to hear you better due to the very loud audience, you felt your face turning bright red as you leaned closer to his ear and told him.
"Right now you feel like you could never love again"
"Nice to meet you, I'm Nick" he grinned taking your hand in his and leaving a tender kiss on your knuckles. This one move had definitely knocked the air out of you for a moment, you were also pretty sure your face was over 100000000 degrees by now.
"Now all I ask is for a chance to prove that we love you!" Kevin yelled pointing to the energetic crowd.
For the rest of the performance, Nick sang and danced all around you, even at some points making silly faces which made you giggle. The whole night was unbelievable, you hadn't expected to come to this concert today and you definitely didn't expect to be one of the chosen lucky girls to come on stage. You would truly cherish this moment for the rest of your life. The song was coming to an end, Nick had offered you hand in which you took, he pulled you up giving you a playful twirl. While still holding your hand, Nick lured you a bit closer to his chest and revealed a single red rose that had been hidden behind his back.
"For you my lady" Nick whispered placing the rose in your hands. You blushed saying a quiet 'thank you.'
"I'll never break your heart, I'll never make you cry, I'd rather die than live without you, I'll give you all of me, honey that's no lie" all five boys sang the last verse in a beautiful harmony, Nick intensely gazing into your eyes the entire time. As the song ended the lights became brighter and the audience began to cheer. This moment was coming to an end and that made you want to cry. Aj and Brian waved to you and the other girls as you were lead back to where you came from. Kevin and Howie quickly said their goodbyes to the girls that they had escorted and went back on stage while the girls went back to their seats, Nick and you being the only ones left. He slipped his hand out of yours making your heart drop.
"So did you have fun?" Nick questioned placing his hands into his jacket pockets.
"Y-yea, a lot. Thanks." You replied a bit anxious. Nick grinned widely.
"No problem, it was a pleasure to sing to a beautiful girl like you."
You couldn't help but smile widely as you began to blush deeply, but before you could respond Brian walked in eyeing the both of you curiously.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but Nick we still have one more song to perform."
"Okay, just give me a sec"
Nick returned his attention back to you, grasping your hands quickly then dropping them. "See you around, Y/N" Then he bolted back on stage. You were confused by the sentence until you noticed you felt something in your hands. There all crumpled up was a piece of paper, and when you opened it you were surprised to find a phone number. ____ When I originally started this book this was actually supposed to be the first chapter but I kind of lost interest in it. It's been saved as a draft for almost a year now. Now that I've read it over I don't think it's ThAT bad but tell me what you guys think!! ❤ ALSO, I KNOW THERE ARE PROBABLY A LOT OF GRAMMAR ISSUES I WILL FIX IT LATER, PROMISE.
