She Needs A Friend

Chapter 13
(1 week later)
Rachels pov:
(Rachels dream)
I was in my room with Quinn reading when suddenly Quinns dad came storming in and threw me up against the wall strangling me.

"Forgive her father for this woman has sinned!" He started chant .

I could barely breath.

"Quinn help!" I yelled.

"She can't help you,  no one can!" He yelled.

(End of dream)
I shot up covered in sweat scared for my life before realizing it was just a bad dream. It's been a week since Quinns dad attacked Quinn and I snd since then he went to jail and Quinn has been staying at my house. Neither of us have been getting much sleep mainly because everytime one of us shuts our eyes we have these nightmares of being attacked, well mainly me. I got up and turned on the shower and got undress . I hopped in and stood there for a moment as the water ran down my body cooling me off. I turned around to get the shampoo and suddenly I saw his face.

"Though shall not sin!" He yelled.

I knew it wasn't real , I knew he was in jail but I was still scared for my life.

I got out of the shower and got dressed to see Quinn on my bed waiting for me so we could go to school.

"Hey." She said smiling.

"Hey." I said.

"Did you have a nightmare again?" She asked me worried.

"No." I said lying.

"You can tell me the truth." She said.

"Okay , I did, but it wasn't as bad this time ." I said.

She sighed and gave me a hug.

"You're my hero you know that?" She asked me.

I smiled and kissed her,

"I like living with you." I said.

"Me too, its nice." She said.

"Yeah it is." I said.

"Come on we should go." She said.

"Okay just give me one second I'll meet you in the car." I said.

"Okay." She said and went down.

I went back into the bathroom and took out my foundation and covered up the strangle marks on my on neck so no one would see and then I took my axiety pill and left.

Quinns pov:
It's all my fault. I know its my fault. If I had just fought him Rachel wouldn't be so scared. She tries to be strong and I love her for it but I know her and I know she's scared still. She's scared of him and so am I. I was at my locker when I saw Finn. She needed him now more than ever and I needed him to be there for her because some things a best friend can fix.

"Hey." I said.

"Hi." He said.

"How are you?" I asked him.

"I'm good,  how are you ?" He asked me.

"Not so good." I said.

"Whys that?" He asked me.

"Because , my girlfriend was attacked by my father and now she needs her best friend more than ever." I said.

He looked at me nervously,

"Rachel was attacked?" He asked me.

"Yeah, and she needs you Finn . She really needs you to be her best friend again." I said.

I looked down and said,

"Look , Rachel screwed our friendship up not me." He said.

"No, I did . I messed it up Finn. I was the one who kissed Rachel , Rachel cared so much about your friendship and she didn't want to hurt you but I was the one who kissed her. She let you be with me all those years and she did a good thing. Finn she needs you now. She needs you to be happy for her and I and to just be her friend again. Thats all she needs." I told him.

"I want to be happy for her but I can't." He said.

"Finn, you and I both know that our relationship was never good . We fought all the time . We made eachother worse for one another." I said.

"I know. " He said.

"So please just talk to her , if not for her then for yourself. I know you need her too." I said.

"Okay I'll do it." He said.

"Thank you." I said and we hugged.

Rachels pov:
I was in the auditorium playing on the piano when Finn came in.

"Hey." He said.

"Hi." I said.

"Rachel, I um , I heard about what happened." He said.

"Oh yeah." I said.

"Yeah, I wanted to apologize for how I acted when you told me about you and Quinn." He said.

"Don't apologize you had every right to be upset." I said.

"I know, but I should've been happy for you. I mean Quinn and I always fought and I guess I knew deep down it wasn't working but I just I was angry that she chose you and that you could make her smile. " He said.

"Oh Finn, I am so sorry." I said and gave him a hug.

"I'm sorry too Rachel." He said.

"So are you happy for me?" I asked him.

"Yeah I am. I just wanna ask you something though." He said.

"Sure." I said.

"Is the sex good?" He joked.

"We actually haven't done that yet." I said and we laughed.

I looked down and he said ,

"Look, Quinn told me abiut her dad attacking you. Are you okay?" He asked me.

I sighed and said,

"I'm trying to stay strong for Quinn but everytime someone touches me or I close my eyes, I see him standing there strangling me chanting to God to forgive me for my sin. I know he's in jail but I'm scared." I said.

"He can't hurt you or Quinn anymore Rachel." He told me.

"I know it's just scary thats all." I said.

"Have you talked to Quinn about it?" He asked me.

"No, I don't want  her to worry . She's been through enough. " I said.

He smiled and kissed my forehead,

"You're a badass you know that?" He asked me.

I smiled and said,

"Yeah I've been told." And gave him a hug.
