Chapter 21
-x- Rivaille -x-
I immediately knew that I made a bad decision the moment my annoying twin barged into my room at 4 am in the morning with his dusty old lab coat.
"Rivaille! Wake up!" he said as he shook me with so much force that I almost fell off my bed. "Tsk. What the hell are you doing in my room?" I grunted as I sat up, ready to strangle this annoying twin of mine.
"Duh, we need to get ready for our exchange today!" he said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Yeah right. That dumb deal that Levi tricked me into agreeing. "I changed my mind. Just do your stupid deal alone." I said. I was about to lie down again when Levi suddenly shoved his smelly coat into my face and said, "You can't back out from our deal, you coward!"
I don't know what pissed me more: the fact that he disturbed me in my sleep at 4 am in the morning or his dirty lab coat that makes me cringe just from the sight of it.
I sighed, knowing that Levi won't stop pestering me until I finally do that stupid deal. "You're really not going to give up, huh?" I asked. He nodded with a determined look on his face. I scowled, grabbed his lab coat and said, "Tsk. Fine. My uniform is on the closet. Make sure to clean it afterwards."
He gave me a mock salute and said, "Aye, Levi!"
Yuck. It's kind of creepy when someone calls you by your brother's name. But I just shrugged and proceeded to the bathroom to take a bath.
This is going to be one stressful day.

After my brother went out of the bathroom, I gave him some of my clothes and when he finally finished changing, I was surprised by the result. "Wow. You really look like me. No one would suspect that we exchange place for today." I said as I gave him a thumbs up.
He just glared and said, "We're twins—identical twins—you idiot. Of course we look alike." I ruffled his hair and said, "You should refrain from glaring at other people. Remember, I'm the jolly mad scientist of the Scouting Legion. So stay in character, my dear brother!"
His face turned into a scowl as I tried to hold back my laughter because of a weird thought that suddenly went into my mind. I seriously can't imagine Rivaille being all happy and smiling at every person that he will meet. Pfft.
I'm so glad that my crazy brain thought of this brilliant exchange!
I finally couldn't hold back my laughter when I imagined Rivaille skipping on a hill with flying ponies and rainbows, that's why Rivaille smacked me on the head so hard I was afraid that my precious brain would fall out.
"I don't laugh," Rivaille chided, "Stay in character, you smelly scientist."
"Oh, right. I forgot, sorry 'bout that." I fixed myself and did my best to copy his expression.
There was a knock on the door and before could say 'Come in' Hanji went inside and said, "Rivaille, trai—" she stopped when she saw me, er— Rivaille dressed as me, I mean.
"Levi! I didn't know that you went outside of the Lab today!" Hanji said with a big smile.
I watched as Rivaille did his best to smile back. Smiling is actually a very easy thing for me to do, it just comes out naturally, but Rivaille had a really hard time in smiling that's why he only managed a forced and awkward smile. "Ahaha. Yeah. Er— nice to see you too, Hanji."
Pfft. I'm biting my tongue so hard right now just so that I wouldn't laugh out loud in front of Hanji 'cause if I did that then our little trick would surely be found out. But damn, my brother sure is hilarious when he's smiling!
