Caffeine

this is a song about someone who keeps you up at night, not because you're wondering about them, but because you know exactly where they are. as you might know, social media allows for people to share exactly what they're doing, exactly where they are, and exactly who they're with mere moments after the fact. so you can catch something posted seconds ago and think to yourself "oh, they're with so-and-so."

as much as I'd like to say it isn't so, "FOMO" controls me in the late hours of the night when I'm thinking about how certain people definitely aren't thinking of me.

so if you've ever, at around 1am, refreshed whatever social media platform you were on and saw that the one person you were thinking about is out and having fun and probably not thinking about you, I get you and I wrote this song about it, for me, and for you.
