Damon's POV

After I ran into Amor earlier, I walked to the brothel to speak to the woman who spoke to her the second time I saw her. Inside the brothel, I see that woman speaking to this thin man who had peach blonde hair that was balding.

I tapped on her shoulder which made her whip around to see who did it. I held out a small bag of coins and she smiled and dragged me off to a private room. "I'm Julie and you are?" she spoke softly.

"The name's Damon, but I need some details from you about someone." I stated simply.

She stared at me and questioned, "Who?"

"She goes by Amor. I saw you talking to her the other day." I told her. When I saw the confused look on her face I added, "She has electric blue eyes and long blonde hair." After I said that realization flooded her face.

"Oh, that's one of my closest friends. She doesn't go around everyday talking to people at random." she told me.

"Tell me about her." I spoke.

A smile appeared on her face as she spoke, "She was born wild and curious. A cage is no place for someone like that. She once told me, 'I play with the fire of my own truth. I will burn for the things I love.'"

"More please," I begged.

She continued, "You can't tell her I told you this but she's escaped hell and those who escape hell however never talk about it and nothing much bothers them after that."

"Thank you, miss." I told her with a smile. Her head was shaking gently as she walked out and back into the busy lobby of the brothel. I walked out a proud man not because I did business at a brothel but because I was able to learn about the angel.

In the streets I heard a distressed yell, "Scar, where are you? Logan?" The man was the same one who I saw Amor speaking to earlier. He was freaking out so I followed him out to the woods listening to him call to someone by the name of Logan.

The deeper I followed him into the woods the clashing of swords grew near. He was running panicked, following him. There was a cabin and two people fighting in front of it. The fight was intense. It was between a woman and who I presume to be Logan.

When I saw the woman was Amor, I moved to help her but the man I was following was too quick. He put his own sword in the middle of an incoming jab causing both of the fighters to fall to the ground.

The man I followed starting yelling at Logan and Amor was on the ground with her eyes fluttering shut. I ran to her shouting for them to help her. Just as the man came to help me, Logan also went unconcious.

Working together we were able to get Amor and Logan into the house and situated. After that, the man and I sat quietly beside one another. "Who are you?" he asked suddenly.

"My name's Damon." I told him. He nodded and gave me a small smile.

He took a deep breath and stated, "My name's West, if you need anything. I nodded staring at my angel. That's when she screamed. I jumped to my feet and ran to her to see what was happening.

Her screams continued not ceasing for a moment. I held her in my arms trying to help while West watched helplessly by the side. When Logan woke up, West left me alone with her so he could take him back to the tamed land.

After around five to ten minutes past, Amor began to wake up while she continued to scream. The screams were different though, she started to scream about demons and angels fighting.

Her screams starting to cease as she woke up from her state of unconsciousness. I was still holding her and she held me back. There were tears in her eyes which she dabbed at with her hand lightly.

Her first words since waking up were, "What are you doing here, Damon?"

"I heard swords clashing so I went to it and found you." I explained. She nodded while yawning softly.

There was a makeshift mirror in the cabin which revealed my demons. They were shining through while Amor's were hidden behind the fire. "What did you dream about," I asked cautiously.

Her smile was pained as she whispered, "Angels and demons fought against each other while an angel and a demon stood together watching the fight holding hands when the angel was hit with an arrow from her own side causing her to fall while the demon shouted in protest for what had just happened to his love."

Her eyes had a brighter fire which made me wonder; how did a girl like her find demons like mine. The only difference was that while I tried to fight my demons, she seemed to hold them in a cage made of fire.

I asked her, "Why don't you just kill your demons?"

She looked at me shocked and replied, "If I killed my demons, I'd lose my angels." Her answer startled me and I looked at her like I'd never seen anyone like her. "Why don't you kill yours?" she asked me.

"I can't drown them, they know how to swim." I told her in a soft voice. She looked at me as though I was strong when in reality I was broken.

I then realized that this girl had no brokenness or issues. She was a warrior who'd seen blood, stared monsters in the face, and knew without a doubt her life would be hers again.

I looked her in her fiery eyes again thinking oh, how her demons were wrapped so beautifully in her skin. Just as I thought about how I loved her fire was when I realized that an angel so strong cannot have a demon so weak as a love.

I gave Amor one last sad smile knowing that I would avoid ever seeing her burning blue eyes again. I left for a place I like to call away alone, even when it's better with company.
