Leaving the party at nine I started walking home. No lights was illuminating the street; only the light at the end of the corner which was flickering on and off. I took out my phone to turn on the flashlight so it could help me see better. The brittle cold air had my lips chattering and my nose getting stuffy. I love the cold but not when I'm outside.

Zeena lives close to the woods so I decided it would be a good idea to go through the woods and take that shortcut home to arrive faster. I just want to get into my warm fuzzy bed and sleep all night.

I decided to walk deeper into the woods taking in every inch of this beautiful place. Trying to no get distracted by scenery of the woods I tore my gaze away and sped walk home.

I got home and took a really quick shower because the water was getting cold and I wanted my bed. Mom left for work already which was good because it meant I had the house all to myself.

I turned on the t.v and Covert Affairs was on. I love this show so much! With all the action and fighting in it it makes me want to be a spy, but then again I wouldn't like the lifestyle; always being on the run and watching your back so you're not on anyone's hit list.

My eyes started to feel droopy and all
I could hear were the murmurs from the people on T.V.

"Wake up Julia," A feminine voice said unwrapping me from my made up blanket cocoon.

I groaned in anger and got up from the bed. I was sleeping so comfortable right now how dare she interrupt me from my beauty sleep?!

Mom was standing in the doorway glaring at me.

"What?" I asked.

"The dishes aren't done. This house is a mess. You didn't dare think of cleaning in it?!" She yelled throwing her hands up in the air.

"I'll get to it now." She really woke me up for that?! It's midnight! I've learned the hard way if you want to get out from a argument with mom just shut up. It's pointless to even defend yourself.

Getting out from my room I went downstairs to start doing the dishes, then clean the bathroom, and lastly the living room.

I finished at 2AM and decided to go shower and go get my favorite ice cream; cookies and cream. Since there wasn't none in the freezer and my body was craving it.

What?

It's not like I was going to back to sleep anyways.

Putting on my coat I grabbed my phone and headed out shutting the door behind me quietly so mom wouldn't notice.

I had no car right now and there is no public transportation at this time so the only option for me was to walk four blocks to the nearest corner store.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know y'all think I'm crazy for doing this at two a.m.. but a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do eh?

"I want my money and I want it now!" A masculine voice shouted.

"I don't have it. I'll get it next time please I just need more time," The second voice pleaded his voice cracking at the end.

My hear rate started to accelerate pumping hard inside my rib cage. Nervous knots started to fill my stomach and I was debating if it was still a good idea to get some ice cream. I just hoped I wasn't in the middle of all of this; It was too dark for me to even see anything and all I could identify was voices.

"Bro lets just go. He obviously don't got the money." Voice number three said.

"I'm not leaving here without my freaking money!"

I kept waking hoping to get to the store in no time. It wasn't until I tripped in front of some garbage cans causing all 3 of them to stop talking. It always had to be my clumsy self to always get me in situations like these.

"Who's there?" One of them called out.

I rushed to my feet and hid behind a building hoping they wouldn't see me.

"Hello?!" The voice was getting closer and I put both of my hands on my mouth to stop any noice from coming.

Next thing I know I was being pushed against someone's back; arms entrapping me from escaping. A silver blade knife was put on my neck pressing down onto my skin.

"Don't make a sound." A male whispered in my ear causing shivers to run down my spine and not the good types.

"What do you want?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?"

"Uh.. I do actually."

"I want you to go ge-." His sentence was run short when someone pulled him of off me pushing him against the wall.

"Don't you dare touch her," A guy with a hoodie said punching him square on the jaw and kneeing him in his crotch. He turned to me and said "Get out of here."

I didn't dare think twice. I ran all the way home tripping on the way there but that didn't stop me. I was Alex Felix right now on a mission. I got home slamming the door shut forgetting about mom and running up to my room.

I threw myself on my bed, wrapped my purple pink print animals over myself and closed my eyes darkness engulfing me. A though in mind... that I didn't get my cookies and cream ice cream.

Soooooo what y'all think?????
