So, I am very, very sorry that it took me so long to finally post chapter 2. I've been busy with work and gone on trips and stuff like that. I worked on noting but this for the last 4 days. I promise the story will get better. It's still in the process of being built up. So here you go, hope you enjoy. Please vote and comment (good or bad), the feedback would help a lot. :)
The Dinner
Its as if Emma was frozen in time. All it took was one glance into Regina's beautiful brown eyes to make Emma forget her own name.
"I'm Regina." The brunette repeats once more before noticing that the blonde is miles away.
Emma shakes her head bringing herself out of her daze to collect her thoughts.
"Hello, Hi! I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened. I was just lost in space I guess." The blonde says with a slight laugh.
"Well, I'm glad you came back down dear." Regina laughs as she still holds out her hand to Emma.
Emma reaches for the brunette's hand and gently takes it in hers with a slight shake.
Their hands linger in each others until Kathryn comes over.
"Emma! You made it!" Kathryn says as she's walking toward the door where Regina stands.
"Hi, Yes I made it." The younger blonde says to the latter.
Kathryn makes it to the door and wraps her arm around Regina's waist and places a quick kiss to her cheek.
"I see you've met my amazingly beautiful girlfriend." the latter blonde says while giving Regina's waist a little squeeze.
"Yes, I have." The Younger says while looking at Regina noticing a slight smile appear on her thin, blood red lips.
Emma smiled back shyly.
" Well, instead of standing here at the door all night, why don't you come in." the brunette suggested as she moves to the side, opening the door for Emma to step inside.
"Yes! Please come in." Kathryn says with a laugh.
Emma steps into the house and is instantly thrown back as to how amazing and beautiful their house is. Emma had dreamed of having a home like this when she was a girl, and even now. She had always wanted to have a place she could call home. She was never able to find that place.
Emma grew up in foster care, never having a secure home when that was she ever wanted.
Emma breathes out with pure amazement.
"Your home is so beautiful!"
"Thank you. That's very kind of you to say." Regina nods with acknowledgement.
"So why don't you two ladies go into the living room while I go and check on dinner?" the brunette suggests.
Regina walks over toward an entrance which Emma can only assume is the kitchen, leaving her and Kathryn making their way over to the living area.
Emma walks into a room just off to the right with Kathryn. The younger blonde is still in awe of the beautiful house.
Kathryn turns to Emma.
"You're in for a real treat tonight. Regina is the greatest cook I know. She's making all of her specialties."
Emma looks over at Kathryn.
"And what might that be?" the younger blonde asks.
"Lasagna with kale salad, apple turnovers for dessert and this wonderful apple cider she makes."
