I wake up the next morning with Avalon right next to me. We were very close to each other. He wakes up and looks at his timepiece.

"It's really early, Haven." He yawns.

"My hours start now." I explain.
It was still dark though.

He sits up, "There is one thing we can do to pass the time."

I think. Then I sigh, "As much as I would like to, I can't......"

"What if it was an order? You would get fired."

I smile, "Well, I can't disobey orders. I can't."

"Don't make me fire you." He already grabbed my hand.

"Yes, sire." I lie back down. I take my dress off. He takes his clothes off. "What now?" I ask.

He wraps his arms around my waist, "You'll get it." He kisses me like he does Askari. I pull the covers over us.
******************************
"I'm home!" Askari bursts through the bedroom door with two brown paper bags. I was sitting on the floor while Avalon was standing in one corner eating an apple and making it float in thin air.

Askari's smile slowly goes away, "Aren't you excited? Maid, get these bags and put them in my room." She throws the bags at me. Right in my stomach. I grab them, stand upright, and walk to the guest room. I sit the bags on the table. I look inside them. One had a wedding dress in there. It was pretty fancy. The other had some gaudy jewelry in it. They sparkled.

I dust my dress off.

"What did you do?" Askari says in a low voice. She shuts the door. My back was facing her.

I turn around. She was frowning. Her arms were crossed.

"Ma'am?" I raise an eyebrow.

"What did you do to my boyfriend? He has never told me no before. He's never turn me down. You had to do something! I've been gone two days. He should be on his knees by now." She was blocking my exit.

"With all due respect, he was perfectly normal while you were gone." I technically can't lie to royalty. So I turn the truth into what SHE wanted to hear.

"You DID something. I don't know what but I will get you punished for this." She goes to her mirror. Her mascara was running.

"Ma'am, your Highness. I didn't do anything." Technically, he was the one who did something. I was following orders.

"Well, there is something going on. You love him, right?"

I freeze, "Of course, ma'am." Stop throwing that term loosely into the atmosphere.

"Well then find out what's wrong! Get back to me within four hours. I am not speaking to him until then."

I nod, hiding my smile, "Yes ma'am." I walk back down the hall. I knock on the door.

"Come in." He yells.

I walk in, "Your fiancée wants to know what's wrong. She is not speaking to you until then, sire."

He shakes his head, "How long?"

"Four hours."

"I'll get back to you on that. Apple?" He throws one at me. I catch it.

It's delicious. Where does he get these?
He closes the door behind me. I sit at the table.

"Sire, your wedding is in four days. Shouldn't you be concerned?" I chew.

"Not really. Why?" He sits across from me.

"She has a gown and jewelry. She hates me. She is super upset about you." I explain.

"Yeah. She only wants me for my money though."

I choke on my apple, "You *hack* knew? How long?"

"Ever since the day I proposed. A bunch of princes from other kingdoms warned me. They call her the Vulture." He snickers.

"So why did you stay with her?"

"My dad said I would find love through her. Him and his future senses. I still don't see it. Ever since then, we had to hire her sister, spend money on worthless things, and prepare for this big wedding." He takes my apple and eats it.

"Who's her sister?" I am very intrigued by this situation.

"The royal advisor. Sarah, Satan, something." He eats the rest of my apple.

Wait a minute. Could.... Nah, I think. It couldn't be.
"Sire, what if I was still hungry?"

"My bad." Sneaky one he is.

"Three more hours." I mumble.
I watch him as he makes pictures in the ceiling. I think about a lot of things. The fact that I'm in love with Avalon. The fact that he is getting married to someone else. The fact that I miss home. The fact that the mage is making more sense. The fact that Askari is planning something evil. All of a sudden, I feel a strange feeling in my chest. My heart slowed down. My hands were sweaty.
"Sire, may I lie down?"

"Of course you can." He gets up, holds my hand, and escorts me to his bed. I lie down staring at his pictures on the ceiling. He lies next to me, his arm around my shoulders. He kisses me on the cheek.

"I love you." I cover my mouth. I spoke without being spoken to.
"Sorry sire."

"It's fine." He makes a smiley face in the ceiling. I turn towards him and fall asleep.
