Midnight Shadow

Natalie's POV
   I sigh for the 16th time today. My 'friends' want me to go to the alleyway where people supposedly disappeared. I don't know much since I moved here a week ago.
   "Come on Natalie! Don't be such a wuss", Nick says.
   I glare at him and get up when the bell rings. I shouldn't have played truth or dare with them.
   "I have science.. See ya guys after", I say quietly while pushing past Nick.
   There was Nick, Amelia, and Josh. I only want to fit in. I started hanging with them on my first day here at this dreadful school. Ugh. To many bully's.
   People know not to mess with my three 'friends' but that doesn't mean they leave me alone. Whenever I'm bullied and Nick or the other two walk by they ignore it.
   Yeah I know they don't actually like me but I can't be alone anymore. My parents hate me because I'm not 'perfect'. I mean.. No ones perfect! I don't understand!
   I sigh once again and open my locker. Once I had my books in my arms I close it and walk down the nearly empty hallway. I guess I'm going to be late for class.
   I'm suddenly shoved from behind. I fall and my books scatter across the floor.
   "Oops", I hear an annoying familiar voice say.
   "Please not today", I whimper but I already know what the answers gonna be.
   "Umm, yes today", he growls and kicks my side.
   I whimper again and try to stand only to be pushed down again.
   "Weak", he mumbles and with one last kick walks down the hallway.
   I slowly stand and grab my books off the floor. I begin limping a little down the hallway. I finally make it to science and see I'm 7 minutes late. Frick.
   I push the down open and slowly walk- I mean limp in.
   "And why are you late miss summers?", the voice of Mrs. Johnston says.
   "I tripped and hurt myself", I mumble hoping she would believe me.
   She nods and points to my desk telling me to sit. I listen and settle down into my seat. I watch the clock while my teacher drones on about cells and structures or something like that. Finally the bell rings and I notice I missed an entire lesson. Damn it.
   Classes droned on until the bell rings meaning schools over.
   "Finally", I whisper and run out of the school after I put my books in my locker. I walk over to my pick up truck.
   As I get in Amelia runs over.
   "Natalie! The guys and I decided if you do the dare we will pay you 100 bucks", she says.
   I think for a minute. I need the money so I can leave my house.. I have about 400 bucks now but didn't people say you die if you go?
   I narrow my eyes at her when realization drawls over me.
   "You guys just want me to go so you guys can become more popular because your 'friend' went into the alley and died! I bet you guys want me dead so you don't have to deal with me!", I shout a little upset and angry... No scratch that, really angry and upset.
   She shrugs and flicks her hair.
   "Well no one likes you so it wouldn't matter, would it?", she smirks.
   I drive away while flipping her off. I keep my eyes on the road as I grumble about how I hate my life. Maybe she's right tho? I'll think about it tonight.
   I continue my drive home and stop at the traffic light that's right next to the alley every ones scared of.
   I glance at it and jump when I think I saw golden eyes that turn red. No.. That's crazy! I'm imagining things. Yea that's it.
   The light turns green and I speed off not once looking back.
