"Let's go faster!" Halley was screaming, enjoying the view of the city, the stars and the wind in her face- "Faster, please!"

"Halley, hold on tight!"

Albion accelerated, the motorcycle released a blast of fire and the speed was dramatically increased, London looking like a vast sea of lights as they were flying so high above the city...

"Unbelievable!"

"This is nothing, Halley!" the wolf howled, glad to see that her daughter was happy- "Wait till you get your own magic broomstick!"

Halley was holding tight to the strong fur of her mother, but later, when she got over the fear of falling from the motorcycle to a certain death below, she opened her arms wide and could not stop screaming to the night...

The speed was so great that they left London behind in a matter of seconds, and then, they were flying above the English fields on their way to the North. Halley could tell that Albion Dusseldorf was determined to stay far from Welsh air space no matter what, and she already guessed that some kind of hostilities were going on between the wizards.

Halley enjoyed the travel like she had never enjoyed anything in her entire life, they crossed the sea and some twenty minutes later they were flying above Ireland.

"All safe and sound!" Albion said, talking to a large, blue diamond that he drew out of his robes- "How is everything at the castle, McGregor?"

"We detected a few Welsh squadrons not far from Galway, but everything is fine now" a hoarse voice replied, coming from the diamond- "Albion, we'll see you at the War Council."

"Fine, give me some time to drop Halley by the lake."

"What is happening?" Halley asked into the huge wolf ear of her mother, feeling a little uneasy- "That sounds like there is a wizarding war or something in the background!"

"Nothing special Halley, just a few air raids every now and then..."

"Air raids?!"

The magical motorcycle began to decrease its elevation and speed, Halley could see the lights of a Mugall town gleaming not far in the distance, the night was very dark and then, at last, they landed at the outskirts of a forest...

10-

A merry campfire was flickering in the cold Irish night, the wood crackling as red sparks from the burning wood would swirl and rise to the sky every now and then.

"This is so good!" Halley muttered, finishing the last chicken wing with Worcestershire sauce- "I never thought that Dolly would taste as good as she looked..."

The wolf was cleaning her teeth with an over-sized wooden toothpick, Albion finished a wine glass and Halley, licking her lips, washed down the chicken with some wine as well. The ground around them was full of chicken bones and feathers, and very soon nothing was left of their dinner that night.

"Halley, I am sorry but I must depart now, they are waiting for me to discuss important matters. See you at the castle!" Albion said as he stood up, then disappearing instantly in a flash of white light.

The wolf just remained there, sitting and howling to the stars and the full moon in the sky... this was the moment of privacy that Halley had been waiting for, so she turned to face her mother and said:

"They said that my parents had died in a car crash..."

"Rotten lies!" the wolf replied, infuriated as she recalled what the Doorsleys had said to her daughter all those years- "Really, we should have never trusted old Cecy to look after you, Halley. The thing is that the Wolffers were always very nice to Cecelia after adopting her, which explains why your father and I expected her to do the same for our daughter."
