Halley Wolffer

Chapter 18

Halley turned around to see that Virginia was dueling three Knights at the same time, Albion was a good distance to her right fighting several Knight Captains and nobody else was free enough to aim another Avalkallet Charm, the enemy reinforcements advancing and ready to storm them like a shockwave...

"Wolffer!" a Knight nearby said, calling others to attack: "There she is!"

Halley deflected two fireballs with her staff while a third hit crashed against her shields, she conjured a wave of death and three Knights collapsed at once. Halley transformed a fourth attacker into a pond of green slime, and then she hurried to cast the special charm again hoping that the mines would stop at least a few hundred of them...

"Avalkallet!"

This time, the sparks were intensely red and the mines were detonated almost instantly... It was true that most of the enemy reinforcements had already passed the minefield, but hundreds of those that were running slower could not escape and were reduced to ashes by the terrible explosions and shrapnel.

Halley turned around and aimed two of her strongest lightning attacks at the other side, but she could not stop the offensive and a few seconds later thousands of fresh Knights had entered the fray.

"Wolffer!" a female Knight cried nearby- "Grab Wolffer, she wants her alive!"

Halley managed to teleport out of the way of a Freezing Charm, coming out of nowhere behind several Knights and turning them to glass with a flick of her magic staff. Another Knight tried to grab her just to get his arms torn apart by the girl's supernatural strength, and after that, Halley jumped like a wild animal and delivered a fatal bite to yet another Knight's throat.

"Come for me, you bastards!" Halley called, trying to distract them from the fighting.

It was clear to Halley that the forces of Hog's Wart were in trouble, but they remained fighting and she knew that if she was captured, the battle would end... The Werewolf tried to divert the attention of the Knights as much as possible, grabbing her enemies with her supernatural strength and tossing them away like they were squirrels or kittens.

"Halley, watch out!" Looney said, her voice coming from somewhere behind.

Halley turned around to see that a terrible monster was almost upon her, a huge, bald giant that looked vaguely human and was at least twenty feet tall. The gray-skinned creature was wearing a simple black skirt as it advanced against Halley, raising his wooden club with the idea to crush the girl to death.

Donald dashed to help Halley but he tripped with a fallen Knight, and Looney's attempt to destroy the club with starbolts just managed to set the bloody thing in fire. Halley prepared her shields to withstand a serious blow, and then an even larger monster came flying like a shadow and grabbed the Giant by the throat-

"Yeah!" Donald said, still on the ground- "Well done, Hallower!"

The Hallower had decided to join the fight in Halley's side, many Knights retreating after they witnessed the dragon tearing their Giant in half with its powerful claws... Halley cheered and blasted some of the surprised Knights to ashes with her fireballs, the Hallower now advancing and lashing the enemy fighters with its tail full of thorns.

"Thanks for the warning!"

Halley, Looney and Donald gathered with their backs to each other, ready to fight together to the end. They could see Irish soldiers falling, armored fighters shattered to pieces and dead students everywhere, but Albion, the Professors and many others would never give up and continued to fight...

"We can do this!" Looney said.

"Together..." Donald added with great pride, casting a shield to deflect a series of fireballs that had been aimed straight at them.
