True Friend

A true friend, that is you
Why I realize that just now, I never know
I cursed myself and regret it
For not knowing your true value

Those times I've wasted in others company
I wished I spend with you endlessly
But I was blind to see your worth
I've searched for others, not knowing you're just close

You tell me things my so called friends never did
Encouraged me, when all else failed
Teased me when I was wrong and you were right
Makes me feel pissed off but still I smiled

You remembered my birthday every year
Sang a song, only for my ears to hear
Even planned my birthday gift in advanced
Now that we're apart, I can only say
'I've missed you friend, I wished I'd stayed.'
