The Reality of the Matter

Just Another Boring Day- Or Is It?

I blow the strand of hair in between my eyes upward again in boredom as I rested my feet on my desk.

"School is so stupid and boring, right?" I asked my best friend on my left- Hitomi Fujimura or as  we liked to call her Basilisk. She dramatically lowered her magazine and smoothed it out on her desk, and she peered over her glasses at me.

"Ms. Starr PLEASE refrain yourself from such antics in my class!" she snapped pretending to be our teacher.

I snickered and so did the third member of our little triad-  Jinx King aka the Pied and Pride Piper(Piper for short)  .We were an odd group-Basilisk with her dyed neon green hair and dark green eyes,  Piper with her strawberry red hair and green eyes, then there was me-Roxana "PopTop" Starr- I guess you could say I had the most normal looks of the three of us. I had dark coal black hair and "crystal" blue eyes as my brother calls them.

"Class!" the teacher snapped as she walked in. I quickly took my feet of the desk.

"Aw always nice to start the day with the mean ones," I thought childishly.

"We have some new bra- I mean students joining us today. Come in you three," Ms. Merry Meaner said, and I took a drink from my water bottle, leaning back in my sit as they walked in.

"Students please welcome-or don't I real don't care- Yugi Muto, Ash Ketchum, and Annabeth Chase-" I leached forward in my set and did a spit take, spraying the water all over Timmy Falon's hair. I looked at Piper and Basilisk in shook and they did the same.

"Is there something wrong Ms. Starr, Ms. Fujimura, and Ms. King?" Ms Evil Queen asked.

"No Ms.Rayward," We receded in unison well shaking our heads.

"Then why is Ms. Starr's drink now dripping off spikey hairs head?"

"Well Ms.Rayward I told PopTop here she couldn't spit far enough to hit Timmy's hair," Basilisk started, and Piper soon caught on.

"But I thought she could Ms.Rayward," Piper continued.

"So they dared me to try, Ms.Rayward, and you know  I can't back down from a dare!" I finished.

"Of course you can't," She grumbled gritting her teeth. "As punishment for fooling around in my class you will be the new student's guides.  And would you PLEASE stop using those infernal nicknames for each other!"

"Yes Ms.Rayward!"

"Of course Ms.Rayward!"

"Anything you say Ms.Rayward!"

We beamed at each other as we spoke, and as the teacher had the three sit behind us.

"Maybe school won't me so stupid and boring," They two of them whispered in my ear from either side and all's I could do as I grinned widely was nod in agreement.
