CHAPTER 4
Ella
It was a bright beautiful morning and with the grasses green, singing birds, happily dancing trees,...most assuredly, hopes were incontestably high, for the likes of well, people like me.
It was a beautifully inspiring Tuesday morning and my hopes were so high, although my mind was filled with thoughts of my boring, annoyingly irritating and not so delightful but exciting experiences I had in school yesterday, I couldn't help but anticipate better things.
I really am not the friendship kind of girl. I have had my not too fair share of friendship especially of the same sex.
The very last friend I had, Julie, was entirely out of this world. I was able to cope with the fact that we are entirely opposite sides of a coin but I was so pissed off with the fact that she lied a lot, did a lot of things behind her back, said ugly stuffs about me of which I don't even want to talk about, yet she kept pretending to be the best friend I thought I had.
Anyway, it's me, myself and I.
I checked the time it was already 7:00 so i stood up to get ready for school so as not to go late for lectures like it did yesterday which turned out to be embarrassing to an extent for me.
I chose to wear today a pair of blue jeans , a teal blue t-shirt and my black sneakers, although pretty old but looked nice still.
I quickly had my bath, freshened up, neatly packed my hair back and ran downstairs to make some breakfast as usual for myself and Phil. Lauren hadn't returned yesterday for she would be staying with her mom for some time according to Phil.
Phil was already downstairs by the time i got there making breakfast. I assisted him and we quickly had our breakfast and left as quickly as we can for he had to drop me off at school first before going to work.
Phil works in an electrical company in a neighbouring town, not too far away
"You know, I was at the Game yesterday, on my up way back from work" Phil Said but I knew he had something up his sleeves courtesy of the expression on his face.
"The game?, and what is that? " I interrogated
"Oh, my manners, it's just a shopping mall located down the road"
"Oh, I see"
"Yea, I went I to check out the bicycles they have available..and don't get too excited"
....I looked at him astonishingly as he spoke, I didn't expect him to get me a bike whatsoever because he kind of frowned at that idea when I brought it up yesterday.
" and....he stammered, I also found one that I think you might like, well , don't get too excited like I said because I haven't paid for it", he said smiling
I couldn't hold it now. Out of excitement, I gave him a gigantic hug forgetting he was actually driving.
Well i caught a grip on myself and thanked him politely"I never saw that coming, I actually thought you kicked hard against that idea. So what made you change your mind?" I queried
"Well I thought about it, the stress and all that plus you are my only niece..but you shouldn't let that to get into your chicken head at all...Phil said giving me a wink
Plus I really wanted that bike, not just for school but what else can an apparently would be bored girl like me be doing?
In no long time, we were already in my school. The mere sight of Bloomsberg drives my worries away, except for the fact that the students here can be quite annoying and ill mannered..or maybe my assumptions.
Without hesitating, I got down from Phil's car, waved him goodbye and headed straight to my class for lectures.
Well Thank goodness I didn't make it quite late to class although most of my naughty course mates were already seated, I walked straight to my chair, shrugging their naked glances and side talks off.
The lecturer came in after some minutes and lectures kicked off.
We were having a lecture on chemistry.I have always wanted to be a doctor, a surgeon to be precise. In as much as we had no money enough to sponsor my education, that dream didn't die but I thank God for this scholarship, with it, my dream of becoming one of the best surgeons ever known shall definitely come to pass.
As lecture was going on, though I hardly noticed but a girl walked in. From her attire and the way she carried herself as she walked into the class, she seemed to me like one from a wealthy background. Everything about her spelled luxury and affluence...what do I care anyway
The lecturer introduced her as Steph, our new students from all the way Toronto but lived here in Victoria SA.
Everybody's eyes were just all over this brunette. I wonder what's really so special about this girl..and why would the lecturer give her this attention? He didn't introduce me to the class this specially..
She walked pass me, headed straight to the seat behind me...oh heavens, why me?, I am so sure she will not be any different from the rest...bunch of thorns in my flesh
The lecture managed to have its way through...although the lecture was really introductory...and oh, need I not forget to say how I love chemistry...well, that's by the way
Back to this new girl in class, yes, she looked annoying to me maybe because she wore a proudly disconcerting look..all eyes were on this girl and girls just were all over her.
From my deductions, her father was a pilot and her mom, a Senator. .hmm rumours were already flying in class, no wonder she seemed pretty mannerless to me..kids who got it all.
Well i'm not being stereotypical here but the few that I've come across had nothing to write home about them.
Despite the fact that girls were all over her, she simply snubbed them..like they were some sort of garbage, well served them right she muttered to her self
*************
Hmmmmmm
Speculations are rising now I guess...
The next chapter would be coming up shortly...let the thrills begin!!😘And please bear with me, I am taking my time to write them chapter after chapter...
