3rd Person POV
Our months with Asyrd had come to an end, and all too soon. We now walked through, the midnight light, towards the departure gate. I wore a black lace cloak that flowed over my shoulder and trailed behind me on the ground. The point of this? We had hidden Astryd for all those months, myself included, and told everyone that I had come down with a bad illness. If anyone saw me they would come up to me and ask how I was feeling, with Astryd with us, we could not risk it. The only person we allowed to know was the gate keeper, and only because he would be transporting her. I couldn't ride the way with her, but I trusted that he would get her there safely. Once we reached the gate, I sat Astryd's bassinet on the ground and checked to see if she had everything I had given her. She was wearing A white lace dress and was wearing a very special locket that my boyfriends mother had given me. It was a golden frame, a bit aged, and had a green Jewel in the middle. The Jewel was my boyfriends favorite color, so I thought she should have it. I sighed, and picked up the bassinet again. "Lets....Let's do this." I said unsure, but kept walking. He took my other hand and tried to sooth me, as tears pricked my eyes. "She will be fine, My love. I have made arrangements, She will have a bright future." I nodded and walked to the gate. "We're-We're ready." I chocked out and handed him her bassinet.
"I promise you, She will be safe." The gate keep told me before taking off with her. I let out a wail and hugged to my boyfriends chest, as I cried. He rubbed my back and, somehow without me noticing, picked me up Bridal-style and carried me back to my room.
Lilly's POV
-1998 5 years old-
My name is Lilliana Astryd Taylor and I am an orphan, but not for too much longer.
Today is the day I get adopted, Officially that is.

I sat in my room, that I shared with a few other girls, with Skye- Who was an older girl.
She was helping me pack my stuff up, as I procrastinated it. I was supposed to do it hours ago but, being the stuborn five-year old I am, decided I wanted to play instead. Now my new Parent(s) would be here any moment and I wasn't even dressed. I was still in my white night gown from the previous night. "You're lucky, Kid." Skye told me as she folded up one of my sweatshirts. "I would kill to be adopted officially." She said and finished putting my clothes away. She clapped her hands together and stood up. "Up you get, You need to get dressed." She lifted me up from under my arms and placed my feet on the floor.
"But Skye-e!" I complained and frowned. She laughed and handed me my clothes, pushing me towards the bathroom. "Not gonna work this time, Kid. Next time, You lip pucker. Work's every time." She advised and shut the door. I recorded this mentally and peeled off my gown, replacing it with the clothes she handed me. I stepped out of the bathroom and turned in circles "Ta-da!" I exclaimed and examined myself.
I was now wearing a white tank-top,which was tucked into a teal silk skirt. Overtop of all that I had put an, oversized, teal coat. I also wore white socks and Black buckle Dolly shoes. "Perfect!" She exclaimed. "They'll love you." She said and placed a hand on my back, leading me towards my bed. She picked up my bag and placed it in my hand. "Let's go wait for them." She said with a small smile and we walked towards the stairs.
And that was the last time I saw Skye, For a long time.

I recently went through and fixed my lack of details and I must say, This chapter is 100x better! I'm sorry for not telling you who the people in "Third person" are, I will explain in book #2 possibly!
Obviously, Tony adopts Lilly! We wont see him very much, though, until the events of "Iron Man".
Why? Because I want to get this as spot on as phyiscally possible. He will pop in on some holidays, but not many. Pepper will be raising Lilly :D
Also, Sorry for the Short chapter! They may be like that for a bit until I can get into something I have more information on and can have more detail.
One last thing, The outfit Lilly is wearing is over to the side. Oh! And did anyone else catch who Lilly's room-mate was?
