Chapter 3- Party's, Donations, and Christmas ~Part 1~

--Lilly's POV--

~December 23rd 1998~

 It was the day before Christmas Eve, and the Christmas party was tonight.

We had been planning this for weeks, Pepper was going to invite some kids in the neighborhood and their family's and we would go from there. 

Dad was throwing his own party in Malibu and Pepper said it wasn't the kind a kid should attending,

So Pepper took this as the opportunity to have me make some friends. I didn't understand what she meant by this, but I assumed it was a business party for the company, or something. Back to our party, I was kind of dreading it. I didn't know any of these people, and hoped that they are nice. I knew Pepper could see that I was nervous, but she kept saying "You'll be fine, Lil. They're nice People." She had also said that It wasn't healthy to not have friends before starting school. I had always been so used to living with a bunch of other kids,Ones that I had seen every day my entire life, that I didn't know how to make them on my own. 

I started off that morning to the wonderful smell of Pancakes. I rolled out of bed and ran out into the hallway, and skipped to the kitchen. Pepper stood in front of the Oven, moving a skillet back and forth that sat on the Stove top. "Good Morning!" She said to me as she slid two, stacked, pancakes onto a plate. She picked up the plate, walked over to the table, and placed them down in front of me. I scrambled over to the table and sat down, picking up a fork and digging in. "I was just about to come wake you up," She chuckled and went to get a thing of Maple Syrup out the cupboard. "Guess I don't have to now." She made herself a plate and poured some Syrup on them. I let out a laugh and put some Syrup on my pancakes, as well. 

"Can I finish eating in the Living Room?" I asked, after a licked my fork clean. She thought about it for a moment, and then nodded. She stood up, putting her plate in the sink. "Only if you promise not to get anything on the couch," She said in a stern tone. "Your dad would kill me." She walked off towards the bathroom, Pulling her hair back as she walked. I knew Dad really wouldn't kill her. The most that he'd probably do is have her buy a new couch that would probably cost twice as much as the other one did. 

I stood up, Wiping the crumbs off my shirt, and then picked up my plate. I walked into the 'Living Room'. Techinally, It wasn't a Living Room. It didn't have that home-y feeling that normal Living Rooms did, But it was the closest thing there was. I sat my plate on the coffee table and turned on the TV. I turned it to Nickelodeon and Kennan and Kel was on. I settled into the couch and finished eating my Pancake stack.

It was now 11:30AM and Pepper and just finished helping me get dressed, and setting up the Party.

I looked at myself in the Body length mirror that hung on my wall, As I made sure my outfit was Okay.

I was wearing A plain short-sleeved red T-shirt that was black around the ends of the sleeves, Then I had on a Black pencil skirt, and Black Buckle Baby Doll shoes. My hair was curled and pinned back.

There was a knock on my door, and then Pepper stuck her head in "When your done come out into the Living room,Okay?" I nodded as I watched her shut the door and heard her heels click down the hall. I quickly got on my Hands and knees and pulled my little suitcase out from under the bed, I flipped open the Locks on each side and lifted up the lid.Besides all my clothes there was a little wooden jewelry box, I took the wooden box in my hands and placed in on the floor beside me.

I lifted the lid and pulled out a locket that was bit to big for me to wear, 

The frame of the Necklace was aged and in the middle was a green Jewel. Skye had said I arrived with it on, and I was wearing a white lace dress. She thought I came from a pretty wealthy family, But I was never very sure about it. Of course a poor family couldn't afford Lace dress-Especially for an infant.
